Any comments on V-kool that goes so cheap ?

Tint - This is V-kool "REM" product, a out source (OEM) window film by V-Kool Malaysia, NOT genuine V-Kool product.
I checked before, you may go there n clarify.

Tint is value for money. Interior still cool after almost 2 years no degradation. Workmanship used to be a hit and miss affair. If sloppy u need time to revisit for rectification.

As above, feel satisfied for the heat rejection spec, hitting 28 months now. Work as expansive tint but only cz less than rm1k including sunroof.

After 2 weeks, quite happy with the Infusion Pro's performance. Maybe not on par with 3M or Vkool in terms of clarity (low angle haze is still apparent in certain conditions, only noticeable if you try to nitpick). It does its job in rejecting heat to a certain extent until the glass is heat soaked. Since most tints without metal sputtering don't really 'deflect' heat, therefore if you park your car under the hot sun it will still feel warm (at least leather seat and steering isn't scaldingly hot). Once you start driving, then you'll find it performing very well.

Workmanship, an in house worker will start to remove your tint and clear the glass, another lad will come into the picture later to do the actual tinting. Workmanship, i'd say isn't the best - especially the part on tracing out the shape of the glass using their pen knife. But i'd give them passing grade, as long you're not nitpicking, you won't notice those 'flaws'. What they could improve on is to clean up the glue residue from removing the old tint that's left on the dashboard, rear parcel shelf; wipe soapy water stains from the speaker grill and ensure that all small pieces of cut film to be removed from the nook and crannies of the interior before hastily returning the car back to the customer. Things are done thru an appointment, why the rush? If you can't finish the car within the timeslot, why make things so packed?

In a nutshell, you get what you pay for in other aspects; however, the tint's quality is surprisingly beyond my expectations. Personally I will recommend others to get their cars tinted here at Totalgard and personally supervise the process and point out what needs to be done. It might get a little warm and awkward in the installation bay (En. Marn will keep inviting you to go upstairs where the pantry is at but you are free to insist to stay on the ground) if you care about your car, i'd say the little micromanaging might be worth it, as it feels as if there's very little incentives for the installers to do a perfect job; thus is is your job to make sure that they deliver what you want. Nevertheless, they know what they are doing its just the small little things that gets overlooked.

Hope this short review helps.

Hello. Does those 100% IRR works for Smart Tag? 100% rejection means it rejects IR from smart tag as well right? What do you recommend if I want my smart tag to works like normal?

Yes it block the smart tag if IRR 100%. Based on own experience, 90% IRR the limit if u want to use smart tag, else open window when under the toll booth

So either I don't use smart tag(use tng or rfid instead) and pick the highest IRR for best heat reduction
or use cheaper tinting with lower IRR, am I understanding it correctly?

my case, use the highest IRR, but use Rfid and open windows for smart tag. I prefer my car to be cooled when parking under hot sun

For me best bang for money, cheap for the spec. Rm900 including sunroof for their top of the line tint, IRR 99%-100%, based on my car, it really work especially under noon time. Tried last time when parking at Legoland open car park, I can vouch the spec play good part, no scorching hot on my nappa leather seat.

Cons, saw some got workmanship issues but for me it covered under warranty. If anything, I will bark to the factory for warranty claim.

29 months user for the said tint.
