QUOTE(christ14 @ Apr 21 2021, 03:57 PM) Yeah they are tint manufacturer mostly for buildings. They do sell to tint shops but not marketed under their own brand. The installation is done by a third party guy who also comes to their factory premises. Some expansion/ promotion plans underway for their car tints soon.Their Infusion Pro series is a lower mid range under 1K pricing with pretty good specs with a brownish hue, not as clear as Vkool 3M ranges though. |

QUOTE(Duckies @ May 8 2021, 06:24 PM) Ive used Vkool & 3M they have the top products if money is no concern. LLumar has a good following as well. Most of use come here looking for mid range or cheaper products trying to acquire some knowledge to avoid getting ripped off LOL. |

QUOTE(warlock89 @ May 24 2021, 10:37 AM) Totalgard charged me RM400 for HRV windscreen. Almost as good as 3M crystalline before it was removed for Puspakom. My personal perception. This post has been edited by dogbert_chew: May 25 2021, 08:04 PM chikenleg liked this post

QUOTE(xiaomifeng @ Jun 28 2021, 01:26 AM) the heat rejection is not bad, but it's still blur compare to 3m in my other car. it's like zeiss lens and hoya lens if you wear glasses. the clarity... However putting back 3M Crystalline would have cost me 1K+ vs 400. Hence I proceeded to tint a new Ativa, luckily no such problems u encountered. Perhaps they changed the 3rd party installer you should take pix and post it here. Have previouly asked Totalgard staff to follow this thread. Quazacolt liked this post

QUOTE(Totalgard @ Nov 26 2021, 03:37 PM) QUOTE(crixalisrox @ Jul 16 2021, 03:20 PM) Here's my personal review on Totalgard Ceramic Plus. I follow jpj spec windscreen vlt 70 | front side 50 | rear side & windscreen 30 Bro, Got to know this brand after reading this thread, apparently their previous famous brand are Sahara-X that have the same concept - high IRR & Tser with competitive pricing. Don't know what happen to that brand now as no one talking about it anymore. Hopefully their current totalgard package can be sustainable. What I like: Good customer service - explain in details & responsive. They will provide demonstration and answer to your questions in professional manner. Additional point, their staff following SOP & wearing double mask too. Competitive pricing - I can't find others tint that offer similar spec at this price. If you able to find one, please let me know! I want to explore further. My complaint (same like yours): Workmanship! Dust trap, tiny bubbling, cleanliness... u name it I paid extra for the old tint removal, the installer spoilt my original black film that come with the car. They apply the tint in the warehouse without proper work area. After installation done, my car became very dirty. All the water stains on the fabric seats, glue mark on car panel, dirty watermark on the window. Clearly they don't have clean water to wash their towel and just wipe like it. They promise to re-tint the affected area after mco end. But my doubt actually with the 3rd party installer, if their skill still the same then just waste of time to visit them again. TL;DR: If you're on budget & don't mind the worksmanship & hassle to visit them again - then go ahead. If budget not an issue & busy in schedule - then better look for reputable top range tint. Hope Totalgard staff/management able to see this post and make improvement on the issue brought up. I got another car that need tinting and I don't mind giving them another chance if they can promise the issue has been resolve. If everything fail, I'll post up the photo of my car tint that looks terrible. As you yourself have quoted Crixalisrox earlier above, the problem lies with different 3rd party installers that keep changing and No ONE from Totalgard doing a quality check before handling the car back to customer. Conclusion Staff - polite Installer - changing 3rd party so depends on luck Location - unsuitable open air warehouse Management - deaf & indifferent Quality control - zero Have discussed all this with Kean after tinting HRV and Ativa. Show him this post. crixalisrox liked this post

QUOTE(Johnwick69u @ Mar 31 2022, 12:07 PM) My car myvi 8 years still no problem using 3M crystalline. I park under sun everyday during working hours .Heat rejection also very good with no bubbles/ deterioration. Maybe within warranty u can claim yea . Same here. Bought a 2016 HRV tinted w 3M crystalline still immaculate condition. Pity had to tear off front windscreen for Puspakom.Really suspect plenty of installers using fake 3M out there |

QUOTE(nightcrawlersz @ May 21 2022, 03:49 PM) Comment a bit.Previously JPJ spec for tint was 70/50/30 more area to fail test. Now it's 70/30/0 the main area of concern is just the front windscreen. When i bought 2nd hand HRV last yr i took to Puspakom myself. The 3M tint i tear off and the naked front windscreen glass direct from manufacturer already VLT 78%. Meaning if u want new tint to JPJ compliant.. can only decrease 8% to 70%. Suggest you just tint for comfortable TSER even if VLT drops below 70% but not so dark until cannot see at night la. QUOTE(seng1380 @ Sep 13 2022, 04:24 PM) Went for tinting at ALVA CONCEPT STORE. Do u have pix before they tint? Please think twice if you consider to have your car tinted. High odour of the adhesive for tinted, causing your windows & windscreen become oily (Not sure is the glue/soap or anything which they dont clean it before they handover the car), and the terrible thing is it caused my cushion become dirty which is totally unacceptable. Can see some bubbles on the tinted which to be observe for few days and hopefully it will disappear. I'd tried V-kool,3M, Raytech none of them give me these. Please dont trust if they told you they are the same. Or at least their service is terrible. Please think twice if you are sending your car there, especially the new car. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() To be frank, this kind of damage looks too severe to be true. Which new car you sent to which Alva store? When? |

QUOTE(dino89 @ Oct 24 2022, 09:10 AM) So many cheaper tint brands in the market (like solargard, hamel, alva, totalgard, horus, etc) but dunno can last 5-7 years or not, or after 1-2 years the performance drop d like those cap ayam film. Totalgard can ask ayamxxx comment about his X70 tinted Sept 2020 |
