Without proper installation bays poor workmanship is going to cost endless replacement
The clarity that you mentioned will get from bad to worst as year pass and hopefully they will honor the warranty claim

do u mind explaining why the clarity problem is there? my cousin who runs a car accessories biz told me the film isn't designed for front windscreen because of the clarity... is it true?

Hi guys. Anyone heard about a brand called Signature? A shop I normally visited says he's no more selling other brand but only this Signature film with sputtering. RM2k+ for toyota vios sounds too much for me.

Hi,

Just a sharing on what I have tinted on my SUV recently as below:
Location Tint --> Penang, Raytech Tint Georgetown
Tint Spec:
- front windscreen: RC series (solar film)
- front door glass: MX series (security film)
- rear door glass: MC series (solar film)
- rear windscreen: RC series (solar film) [free upgraded from MX series as no more stock for MX series]
- sunroof: Standard sunroof tint (not sure what brand)
Total price --> RM 2200
Warranty --> 7 year with nation wide store, include bubbling, discolor or drastic heat reduction <30%. (main reason choosing Raytech)

Infrared/Phone signal/GPS --> Was inform that will impact on smart tag, hence requested the technician to cut a small part on front windscreen for the smart tag (using lokatag). Still able to scan my card to enter my condo without issues. Phone signal and GPS are still working and did not notice any degradation, will need to monitor.

Experiences --> Total time taken almost 2 hours+, waiting in the customer lounge with light snack and milo. Overall experiences was good. There are abit small bubble on the windscreen causes slight blur right after the tint installed, was thinking it might take some time for it to go away, will check again after a few days. (please do let me know if that is not true)

Is there any budget device/way that we can measure the tint performance? (i.e. UVR/IRR/etc) notworthy.gif
Just wanted to check if tint installed are what is being mention, as of now there is no way to confirm what is being installed other than trusting what I am being told.

Thank you

As I was survey for tint, there is a shop recommend the following tint.
Cannot comment on the performance as I did not selected it, but I was quote with RM2k (including sunroof) for a SUV.
Spec of the tint I believe its their top tier, if not mistaken it was V40 which reflecting not absorbing heat.

If the bubbles on the windscreen is due to the water/solution that the installer spray prior to the installation, my previous installer suggested that I park the car at open carpark under the hot sun for at least a few days for the bubbles to go away.
For my case, the bubbles and haze disappeared after a week or so after parking the car at open carpark

I have Xpel XR Plus. Got it just over 2K because I did full car PPF. Usual price is about 3K for XR Plus, and 2K for XR.

dropped you a PM. G Guard service is very good, and they don't simply up sell you. It is base on your requirement and usage pattern.

If you want to see the workmanship of XR plus on real car, tell the boss, he will call me. I can drop by, since it is 15min drive away from my home.

Vkool great but drawback were smart tag will not function (can use rfid) and apartment card/remote gate issue. No doubt it one of the best tinted available on market for heat rejection. I believe the metallic based tint is the best vs ceramic on heat rejection

Import from USA film . Very good heat rejection 97IRR  but cant use smart tag , after many years using still going strong. If want use smart tag can take 3M ceramic IR around 90% IRR . Already pm you for Tinted deals .
