I compared with my previous car tint, rm1k wingard. This wingard is even better than this 3k raytech piece of junk.

my 5 years old Wingard Royal still performs well today. ya it cost me rm2k back then when I'm looking for ceramic tint with no issue for smart tag

while i install my film i never worry about smart tag or what, suddenly all these smart tag thing came out, marketing at its best. branding does not proportionally equal to quality, even my new bmw i use cheapo 1k tint from the same shop i did on my alza cause the experience is good, RM800 film not even a single bubble until now 6 years already and every time I walk out of my car my spec sure fogged even in noon time.

Dont just simply trust a brand and look down other non branded product without even trying and compare.

I perform similar like yours. Last year wife bought x70. So survey the best bang for money for tint. That why i found Totalgard brand, they offered IRR99% at affordable price (half price that branded). Be it a well know brand, price started at rm2k+ for spec i wanted.

So proceed install it and the factory shown it indeed 99% IRR at 3M meter. For real user usage, it work well, even better than my 5 years old Wingard when I put both car (different segment, D vs SUV) outside.

Just need to wait if it really last as 5 years. If it past 3 years, it good enough for me considering the price.

Im looking for a new tint for my crossover as my current one has been over 6 years and no longer effective.

*Just clarified with their page that there's NO offsite installation services. They are closed during fmco.

Their fb page seems pretty new too, with only 1 review.

Has anyone tried this alatin before?

Sent my x70 to totalgard for tint installation cz of the reviews here. But soooooo many dust got trapped inside the film. Huge dust spot. On driver side alone the edge has at least 10 visible dust spot, very disappointed at their workmanship

If installation quality issues, ask for warranty, replace back. In my case it trouble free, good as others. The warranty cover on your case as other tint brand.

How much is car tint for a sedan nowadays? What are the top brands and shop around cyberjaya/putrajaya/dengkil/puchong area?

i askted them to do off site. but they refused.

their rajah series + security close to RM1200. just RM300 cheaper than llumar?

if i have to wait until they are officially allowed to open, might as well go tint with llumar or 3m.

Xiaomi any updates?

Their FB advertisement is misleading. I, too, contacted them thinking they are able to provide tinting service during FMCO. It turned out that they are asking to place an order now and get the tinting when they are open after FMCO...

If I need to wait for FMCO to be over, I have a lot of other options.

TLDR: when i saw a vkool forumer criticized abt how bad totalgard did their job, i thought this film must be so good even v-kool got butthurt, now I wish i have driven my car to 3m or v-kool instead

i forgot when i installed the film but i found a visible 3cm scratch on passenger front side even when i didn't take anybody around in that car after 3-4 days. i saw the scratch 3-4 days after installation because the installer didn't bother to wipe off the shampoo water residue after tint installation and i want the tint to cure better so i wipe it 3-4 days after.

then this is when the nightmare kicks in, there is a 3cm scratch at front passenger side window. then i whatsapped the salesman immediately, he told me he would swap it for me FOC but i still didnt get a replacement yet because I am in ipoh and I only travel to KL for work. i continue wiping the tint, then i found a lot of dust trapped along the edge when i roll down the front driver window. i whatsapp the guy again, he didn't promise anything for this one.

then i got very disappointed and just simply wipe my back windows and front windscreen. don't want to check anymore. after spending more time in my car, i realize that the bottom part of the windscreen is filled with dust, super huge dust spot. i didn't whatsapp the salesman.

and yes, they have money for a huge factory, have plenty of employee, can't even afford to buy some board and aircond and glass door for tint installation

there was a forumer who mentioned that they offer degradation warranty, they DON'T

if i could go back in time, i would pay more for 3m and v-kool instead. thinking about going back and get a replacement just make me tired, not worth the money. the heat rejection is not bad, but it's still blur compare to 3m in my other car. it's like zeiss lens and hoya lens if you wear glasses. the clarity... if u wear glasses and are very picky abt the clarity you would know what i am talking abt. but if you don't, it probably wont matter to you

my friend's x70 has cheap rm500 rhinepro tint installed on it. she kept complaining abt heat rejection, but when i checked, the workmanship is much better than totalgard. while i think that it's fine to sacrifice the clarity for heat rejection at that price, totalgard workmanship is seriously intolerable. their boss didn't bother to buy some material to set up a better installation area even when they have lots of bookings, i seriously don't get why

Yes this is true as posted earlier. Bought second hand HRV had to remove front windscreen 3M tint for Puspakom, the Totalgard installed not as clear as the old side window tint.
However putting back 3M Crystalline would have cost me 1K+ vs 400.

Hence I proceeded to tint a new Ativa, luckily no such problems u encountered. Perhaps they changed the 3rd party installer you should take pix and post it here. Have previouly asked Totalgard staff to follow this thread.

yeah... if their workmanship is good, a combo of 3m/v-kool windscreen and all other windows totalgard would be a good option to save some money. they told me they monitor this thread. i'll just deal with them next time i go to kl and see how they react. lazy to whatsapp the guy already

is it normal to have inner side of the tint dirty upon handing over? since i just got it, i can't clean the inner surface for a week.

Without proper installation bays poor workmanship is going to cost endless replacement
The clarity that you mentioned will get from bad to worst as year pass and hopefully they will honor the warranty claim

Here's my personal review on Totalgard Ceramic Plus. I follow jpj spec windscreen vlt 70 | front side 50 | rear side & windscreen 30

Got to know this brand after reading this thread, apparently their previous famous brand are Sahara-X that have the same concept - high IRR & Tser with competitive pricing. Don't know what happen to that brand now as no one talking about it anymore. Hopefully their current totalgard package can be sustainable.

What I like:
Good customer service - explain in details & responsive. They will provide demonstration and answer to your questions in professional manner. Additional point, their staff following SOP & wearing double mask too.
Competitive pricing - I can't find others tint that offer similar spec at this price. If you able to find one, please let me know! I want to explore further.

My complaint (same like yours):
Workmanship! Dust trap, tiny bubbling, cleanliness... u name it
I paid extra for the old tint removal, the installer spoilt my original black film that come with the car.
They apply the tint in the warehouse without proper work area. After installation done, my car became very dirty. All the water stains on the fabric seats, glue mark on car panel, dirty watermark on the window. Clearly they don't have clean water to wash their towel and just wipe like it.

They promise to re-tint the affected area after mco end. But my doubt actually with the 3rd party installer, if their skill still the same then just waste of time to visit them again.

TL;DR: If you're on budget & don't mind the worksmanship & hassle to visit them again - then go ahead.
If budget not an issue & busy in schedule - then better look for reputable top range tint.

Hope Totalgard staff/management able to see this post and make improvement on the issue brought up. I got another car that need tinting and I don't mind giving them another chance if they can promise the issue has been resolve. If everything fail, I'll post up the photo of my car tint that looks terrible.
