Just did my car with Huper Optik C30/C40 (FWS) with Smartwindow, non JPJ compliance as I am more concern over my wife driving my car in the day time.

Overall, It seems like the overall workmanship looks good and let time judge. But I certainly like the new look of my car.

*I have 6 cars with all V-kool and the oldest with V-kool for about 12 years, mainly V-kool 40 and some elite. Fyi, elite is just a basic spec for V-kool but overall it is still good in main condition. Only 1 of my car have smart tag issue with V-kool 40, the rest are still going just fine.

My wife got her car done with care cool in Damansara Uptown about 6 years ago and still going fine but the heat rejection is not as good as V-kool and other major brands. However, we are satisfied with the price and product.

Hi just wanna ask, I want to claim warranty over my front windshield tint. But my car windshield has small star crack on the outside. The installer said the removal tint process may cause more problem to the crack and possible to shatter. Is it true? Is the tint stick super hard to the glass?  rclxub.gif sorry im noob
*
Yes it might further damage during the removing and re - installation process. So it's better to get the star crack fixed first before getting the tint done.

Hi,

If you are serious in getting a good quality films. Maybe you can consider increasing your budget and go for genuine USA film brands like Raytech, Vkool, 3M etc... This is to ensure you a peace of mind as well. You can find some reputable dealers here smile.gif

You can repair the windscreen if your windscreen have defect as you said.
It's normally cost about RM100-200 depends on the technical difficulties.

Hey guys. Will be changing my windscreen due to a crack. I had huper optik c70 installed previously and I'm looking to have the same tint back on. Called a shop near my place and was quoted rm700. Is this price reasonable or is there any place offering a better price?

Hi, car cabin temperature will definitely increase if you park your car in open space for more than an hour. This is due to the heat being slowly accumulated over time, but cabin temperature will cool off fast once you turn on your air-cond if you are using a high irr film like Ultra70 smile.gif The main function of the film is to reduce the heat while you are driving so that you can enjoy a comfortable ride. However, there is a solution for reducing the temperature after parking the car, which is to install a very dark film to block the light from going into the car at all, but we all know that this is not comply to JPJ regulations sweat.gif

Hi, can anyone recommend any affordable solar tint with high IRR that is JPJ compliant for my old perdana?

Car resell value is around RM 5000 thus not looking for expensive tint or security.

Looking at around RM300 to RM 600 maximum including removal of old tint.

Need IRR more than 80%

Hi All,
Seeing this topic has been so active here, can anyone share with us on that brands are recommended and not recommended here??? The message here is to bring out the awareness on being a smart consumer, beware of house brand products and most importantly is BE ORIGINAL.

Right?

Please ensure the product you choose are original product.
I just had a bad experience back in 2013 where I tint my Mazda6 in Subang (Behind RT Pastry), spent RM1800 with Huper Optic. Ended up, no warranty card and its a fake product! How do i know its a fake product? I have 3 cars with Huper Optic C40 and this 4th car with the same product performance is totally different. My mistake as well where the time when the shop install my window film, i was not there to ensure there is hologram or marking printed on the film liner.
Shop owner keep telling me there HO will send the warranty card to my house and I had wait for 2 years. However the 1st 3 cars that was tinted with Original HO comes with warranty card.

I did my Huper Optilk at Breyton in Penang, but after 1 week+ I still notice small bubbles on the side windows (S60s & C40s).

What's worse is after they tint, because the car was still quite dirty, didn't realize there is a scratch at the "inside" of the tint (between the window and the tint, where they stick/glue(?) the tint to the window). Also there was a large line of dust/delamination(not sure which) trapped at the bottom, more than 1 inch. Now after 1 week+ still seeing the line a few mm thick.

Initially I only did it there even though it was quite expensive because I've heard over and over again that their workmanship is top notch, so a bit disappointed and thought that I would share the experience with the community.

I am now deliberating whether or not to show the tauke immediately or wait for another week, since when I made payment they said all the bubbles etc will go away after 1+week under the sun. Though that scratch is a headache...
