Done my tint at 3M Ampang, went there after reading many good feedback. In fact, they do provide very good and professional service, most important is very good price.  I went to another accessories shop to install few things and they said the tint job is very well done.

The lady boss is very friendly and do final round of inspection on the tints before deliver back the car to me.

The heat rejection is superb and very satisfactory. No problem with Smart tag and auto gate too. I just place the smart tag underneath the black dots area on my windscreen when passing through the smart tag gate.

I did my Huper Optilk at Breyton in Penang, but after 1 week+ I still notice small bubbles on the side windows (S60s & C40s).

What's worse is after they tint, because the car was still quite dirty, didn't realize there is a scratch at the "inside" of the tint (between the window and the tint, where they stick/glue(?) the tint to the window). Also there was a large line of dust/delamination(not sure which) trapped at the bottom, more than 1 inch. Now after 1 week+ still seeing the line a few mm thick.

Initially I only did it there even though it was quite expensive because I've heard over and over again that their workmanship is top notch, so a bit disappointed and thought that I would share the experience with the community.

I am now deliberating whether or not to show the tauke immediately or wait for another week, since when I made payment they said all the bubbles etc will go away after 1+week under the sun. Though that scratch is a headache...

Seeing this topic has been so active here, can anyone share with us on that brands are recommended and not recommended here??? The message here is to bring out the awareness on being a smart consumer, beware of house brand products and most importantly is BE ORIGINAL.

I just had a bad experience back in 2013 where I tint my Mazda6 in Subang (Behind RT Pastry), spent RM1800 with Huper Optic. Ended up, no warranty card and its a fake product! How do i know its a fake product? I have 3 cars with Huper Optic C40 and this 4th car with the same product performance is totally different. My mistake as well where the time when the shop install my window film, i was not there to ensure there is hologram or marking printed on the film liner.
Shop owner keep telling me there HO will send the warranty card to my house and I had wait for 2 years. However the 1st 3 cars that was tinted with Original HO comes with warranty card.

Sad to hear this bro...

yeah......once enough, scare already. but i didn't really go there for 1yr, and never notice that they closed down already. Ahhh.......my tint warranty gone case already since they tell me that I can only go back to that shop for warranty. Never provide me any warranty card at all.



Anyhow, I learned a lesson here, hope everyone aware of unethical tinted shop.

Raytech N85 is JPJ compliance as my sister's car is with N85 and its stated in the warranty card.

I did my 3M tinting there that come with e-warranty from 3M malaysia and all the tint have 3M mark on it. A bit annoying at 1st but after sometime i get use to it already. Ori 3M tint i check should have this mark.

I'm planing to change my 2014 Alza original FWS tint (feel so hot when sun shine on my laps) & RWS.
Any good suggestion and how much it'll cost?

Anyone heard of Huper Optik ACHT? It's the same Select series as SECH but with higher VLT=77% and TSER=46%. Seems pretty good choice for FWS without needing to worry about JPJ once and for all.

I know the Malaysia HO website did not list ACHT but since Breyton is listed as the official dealer so i guess it shouldn't be fake. Maybe it's still new, but just checking if anyone else has the chance to tint this in their car 

IF 77% VLT can offset the VLT reduction of the original FWS, then shoulnt have any issue with JPJ. I would rather comply with JPJ rather than get the saman and claim back from tint shop. And 46% TSER is pretty decent for a relatively clear tint.
