Hi all,
This is a version2 of the "HOT TOPIC" that we had discussed for the past few years.
Thanks all the supports who had actively utilized this open forum as a discussion stage.

Please continue from this thread. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

By the way, we had active forumers on Raytech, Huper Optic, 3M and VKool.

Do come in and discussion here.

Thanks!

1st Thread:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/418792/+3020

Summary:
1. Raytech, V-Kool, 3M are good in heat rejection. As long as it is original products. Beware of imitation products in the market.
Raytech Official Website
V-Kool Official Website
3M Local Distributor

2. Front Windscreen Films are very important where the most important thing is that housebrand can't compete with huge brands like Raytech Ultra70, V-Kool Elite or 3M Crystaline 70.

3. Beware of house brand in the market. Go to the window film specialist outlets to seek for more advice.

4. Always seek for warranty card for consumer rights and privilege after investing in car tinting.

After following and reading this thread since V1 Pg. 60 onwards. My 2 cents on top 3 BEST Tint in No particular order.

1) Huper Optik C70 front and Back and C40 side

2) Raytech Centurion 4 mil OR 6 mil.
Budget Alternative CS85 5 mil. OR CS75 4 mil.
- 7 years warranty is a Bonus. They have Complete range to suit your budget.

3) 3M Nano 70S with Crystalline 70 front.

OTHER Brand/tint?
Proceed with caution. Avoid Groupon/Webuy/Ilovediscounts tints as they have Hidden costs or they will MAKE you upgrade for better quality tint. One customer ended up paying RM688 instead of RM288 cause is D-segment car and sweet-talked to upgrade to Higher quality IRR tint). Good thing no cheap.

These above 3's ENDORSED and Highly recommended by my Customers. (I sell new cars). V-kool standard dropped and COST very high. Llumar is Good but MANY Imitations.

Hi All,
Seeing this topic has been so active here, can anyone share with us on that brands are recommended and not recommended here??? The message here is to bring out the awareness on being a smart consumer, beware of house brand products and most importantly is BE ORIGINAL.

Right?

Please ensure the product you choose are original product.
I just had a bad experience back in 2013 where I tint my Mazda6 in Subang (Behind RT Pastry), spent RM1800 with Huper Optic. Ended up, no warranty card and its a fake product! How do i know its a fake product? I have 3 cars with Huper Optic C40 and this 4th car with the same product performance is totally different. My mistake as well where the time when the shop install my window film, i was not there to ensure there is hologram or marking printed on the film liner.
Shop owner keep telling me there HO will send the warranty card to my house and I had wait for 2 years. However the 1st 3 cars that was tinted with Original HO comes with warranty card.

Sad to hear this bro...
The shop get too many complaints and got force shut down by HQ already sad.gif

Hi Bro,
yeah......once enough, scare already. but i didn't really go there for 1yr, and never notice that they closed down already. Ahhh.......my tint warranty gone case already since they tell me that I can only go back to that shop for warranty. Never provide me any warranty card at all.

Anyhow, I learned a lesson here, hope everyone aware of unethical tinted shop.

Any 3M agent in ipoh? How much is raytech n85 for front windsheild honda city 2009.Is it jpj compliance? Thanks
*
Hi,
Yes, Ipoh should have 3M. Please refer to below. However, just need to beware of house brand "3M" like my HO case.

3M Auto Film Sunfree Tinting Centre
Auto Accessories & Supplies
Address: No.3, Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun (Jalan Kampar), Perak, 30250 Ipoh
Phone:05-255 5808

Raytech N85 is JPJ compliance as my sister's car is with N85 and its stated in the warranty card.

i am contemplating tinting for my new Mazda CX-5 in Kota Kinabalu.

Huper Optic Vendor offered to tint whole car at RM2,800.

Is that a fair price?  How's that compared to V Kool and Llumar?

Thanks in advance

Guys,
I tinted my windscreen with Raytech Ultra 70 recently. I need feedback from users. Does your car dashboard feel warm driving under the hot sun? Is it normal?  icon_question.gif

I can feel my car dashboard starting to feel warm after driving out from basement car park. I can also feel a little warm on my steering as well.

Strangely, I don't recall experiencing such thing with my old tint.

Thanks.
*
Hi Bro,
There should be a little warm as visible lights still penetrates through the windscreen. Dashboard will absorb heat from Visible Lights and therefore heat is there.
However, good things on Ultra70 (Not sure what film you choose for side, as I am using Ultra70 @ FWS and V97 @ the rest) is it dissipate heat fast enough. My current ride cools down in less than 2mins.

May i know which films you install before Ultra70?

hello window tint PHDs big bros I am thinking to retint my car (SA give free tint i guess its cheap fake plastics ... hot like heck under hot Afternoon sun) and would like some information/review/opinion/first hand experience on this window films company Hamel  ----->   hamelfilm.com

They are having promotion now (gonna end soon) therefore i ask here.

here is their FB promotion page ---> Hamel Promotion

and here are some info on what they are offering;

Secure 70, 6mil ----> RM599 Promotion
♢ 75% Infra red heat rejection
♢ 99% Uv rejection
♢ 50% Visible light transmission (for side and back, 70% front)
♢ 7 years warranty
♢ JPJ compliance with certificate
● Nano Ceramic Technology

Secure 90, 6mil ----> RM999 Promotion
♢ 90% Infra red heat rejection
♢ 99% Uv rejection
♢ 50% Visible light transmission (for side and back, 70% front)
♢ 7 years warranty
♢ JPJ compliance with certificate
● Nano Ceramic Technology

also aside from you opinion (this first important!!) would like to know what other recomendation you all have? (my wallet quite tight due to CNY around the corner so yea...)
*
Hi Bro,
Beside genuine Llumar, 3M, V-Kool, Huper Optik and Raytech, I would say most of the rest of the brands are with different technology. Imagine, if you select "Secure 90" with rm999, why not go with genuine products like HO or Raytech with a little bit of topup? Of course Llumar, 3M or V-Kool is good too, but I guess (Just my assumption), their price should be very far from rm999.

Hi,
Anyone have experience with RhinePro? Sounds like US Brand, but can't find the manufacturer. Price is very flexible too!
Any comment on this?

Actually I'm worried that is a rebrand Korea film and doubted on its quality.

Hi, going to get my new swift next week, any recommendation for tint film around 800-1k?

That day went to cool world they promote the XD-3 for full car at rm900, this price ok?

oso went to raytech but cant remember what is the model they promoted to me, the price for Raytech a bit high from what they offer to me.
*
Bro,
You are comparing the wrong level already. biggrin.gif
Cool World is house brand where we can't even find their manufacturer in USA. I went once and their product couldn't satisfied me. If you want it to be cheaper, try search in groupon, you might have a chance getting cheaper price from Cool World.

As of I know, XD-3 is lousy, even XD-5 is still not up to standard yet.

Hi Bro,
While i am searching for FSK's background, i found that you are the only one who asked this brand before.
Though enough to do research for its background and furthermore the price is freaking expensive among housebrand. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

Again, my friend who wanted to buy a car in Penang and Salesman introduce this brand. shakehead.gif shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

How about Armourguard or Armourshield? I saw some of my friends do Vkool Elite for front windscreen and sides are either Armourguard/Armourshield. Else they will recommend REM.
