Seems to be that recently Nikon Thread is becoming a bugs macro thread.
No complains from me though, the pics are good.

You went for another round of new year fireworks at the same place?
Wish I could shoot again too... but not this year lol.

Butterfly spam tongue.gif also to show how much a different background affects your photo.

this is the first shot in the row, I saw the butterfly then quickly grabbed my tripod and camera to take picture, but didn't really like the dull and plain looking background.

I then saw some green grasses in the background, and I raised my tripod until my camera is now facing the grass instead of some walls. Now it looks more lively and bright smile.gif

Some sifus will print out a fake "green (or any other color) leafy background" for occasions when there's no proper background haha~ Worth trying, but I'm lazy tongue.gif

KL Tower.
If you can access the top floor (not observational deck) at night it'll be good.
Note that they only open this pass 7pm on very special occasions.
Unfortunately the petronas towers are in parallel so one tower is blocking the other.

Helipad bar
Similar to KL tower... but I believe there's the Maxis building blocking part of the view.
It's definitely open pass 7pm.... however I believe you need to purchase something or build some relation with the manager for him to let you up there.

Both places above are open air roof tops. Which means they don't have pesky glass to introduce flare. This also means that they're subject to weather. If it gets even slightly windy, the place will be off limits.
