lol..if can sure i would like to hands on both before buying.. bt i dno anyone that has 85mm for me to try..
owning both would be a luxury ><
im attracted to the 1.4 the 50mm offers.. bt 85mm is a better portrait outdoor lens or head+shoulder shot and vy sharp wide open. life always got dilemma.

btw, 999 posts! cheers.gif

I find Both Canon and Nikon are missing that 35mm fast lens prime FF equivalent for the crop sensor DSLR. I noticed this when I got my EOS M that came with a 22mm F2 prime (Which is the FF 35mm equivalent but only can fit the EOS M).

A cheap small size 22 to 24mm Fast prime for the APSC would be so nice.

The closest lens are the expensive Sigma prime lens 20mm F1.8 and 24mm F1.8. And not forget the all new Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 zoom lens. But they are all expensive and quite Long.

The 85mm 1.8G will "melt" the background.. biggrin.gif

Only downside, from my experience, I need to shoot at least 1/125s to avoid blur picture.. sad.gif
