QUOTE(Koki @ Nov 29 2013, 01:28 AM) Hi bros, just got my Nikon D7000 and a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lens not long ago. Loving it so far, has a lot more options and much to learn compared to any DSLRs I used previously Here are some quick shots » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « [attachmentid=3744997][attachmentid=3744999][attachmentid=3745002][attachmentid=3745004] I got one question though - what lighting do you use for product photoshoot? White table lamp with diffuser or just a piece of paper? Pic 1 & 3 underexpose bro... Something here Is this u bro celciuz? QUOTE(copperwire93 @ Nov 29 2013, 10:35 PM) Bought it already? Ahhh.... I jelly! I want that magnesium body! Good luck, man! Looking forward for your shots, we can learn about product shots from you too. Spam for today. It was raining all day long, and the wind is soo strong too. Hence, you can find most bugs hiding on the leaves. Perfect time to shoot. Another species of wasp. Now I found 4 species of wasps already. Macro shooters only talk about 105mm, ET & Raynox... What abt Nikon 40mm & 60mm? Just curious.. Cause the price of 60mm quite good... If not, i will consider tammy 90mm This post has been edited by Pro3363: Dec 2 2013, 12:35 AM

QUOTE(gunzerdude @ Dec 2 2013, 01:11 AM) Working distance is one issue, most lenses below 90mm have to be very close to the subject to achieve 1:1. Besides, like TJ said, most photogs own a 50 prime already, so a 60 would only be a dedicated macro lens. While a 90/105 works as a dual purpose lens, for portraits as well as macro. Hence more useful. Thanks to all replies At first i wanted to get 85mm now after reading this reply, better i get tammy 90mm..

QUOTE(Calvin Seak @ Dec 3 2013, 02:28 PM) A white paper would not be a good option.. Because it is thin/transparent, unless it is a pure white cardboard than that would be a better options.. If you are so concerned about WB, maybe you can get an EXPO Disc which would give u accurate WB at the same time convenient! You'll save plenty of time that way I would normally shoot in Auto WB in events and all and manipulate later in post processing! Here's a link for more information on EXPO Disc! http://www.expoimaging.com/product-overview.php?cat_id=1Cheers! I have been gone for to long! So many macro shots! Recent event I shot last weekend!
