yeah, it's a great value lens, not to forget weather sealing brows.gif

but means nothing though if you are not needing the range and convenient.

50 1.4G i think..  D would be fine too..see which one sharper.
ya right.. i almost forgot bout that. bt that's from crop body rite? if FF i think 1/80 enuf.

Its all about the pixel density now... FF like D800 has high pixel density, equivalent to the D7000. But then again, those 20+ MP DX sensors like D7100... is going to need even higher shutter than the D800.

That's why I still like my D700, 12MP FF very forgiving sensor on shake laugh.gif

ya sure. bt with slight vignetting wide open (which looks like how we usually do it in photoshop)
bt at f2.8 and smaller, can see obvious vignette which needs to be cropped a little.

35mm 1.8 FX will be more then 1.5k

See the 28mm 1.8G for example tongue.gif

and dont diss canon 24-105mm F4. Its a great lens. Very useful for everyday use and very good for video recording thanks to its IS. Nikon doesnt have this kind of lens (interm of price and perf la. nikon 24-120mm F4 expensive and slow i heard) so i reckon the new sigma 24-105mm F4 will be popular among nikon video kaki. I know shinchan excited about it laugh.gif

yeah depends also.. if no gold ring, will be less than 1.6k.. with gold ring, >1.6k..
i think no gold ring la. since 85mm 1.8g oso no gold ring haha.

roughly around twice the distance. lets say the subject 1 metre in fron of u when using 18mm, then u must go 2m when using 35mm.. i think so la.

The wider the lens, the more difficult it is to make, and the higher the price. A 1.5K price point is a logical one considering the price of the previous 35F2D

Don't diss nikon's 24-120 either, yes it may be expensive, but it's a good lens nonetheless. Don't really get what you mean by slow tho hmm.gif
Edit: ahh, I forgot, it's common for canon pipu to call nikon lenses slow. Yeah, af is slow compared to canon's USM motors, but still quite fast imo.

For that kind of money and grade its slow. Some say on par with 85mm 1.4G focusing speed and iirc CY say 85mm focusing not that quick lol

and dont talk about logical with nikon, they seems to be out of it atm. case to point the D610 and 58mm 1.4G laugh.gif
