Studying in any place is not tough. It is down to your own will to put the effort into your studies.
There are different types of people you will meet in overseas. As long as you are friendly, you'll be fine over there. As for food and accomodation, it varies to where you are staying. Some spend £5000 a year while some spend £8000 a year. |

i had the privelege to study and teach architecture in msia, studied in bartlett (london) and sheffield as well as part time teaching in sheffield right now. i can tell u, the system here is WAAAAYYY easier than msia. it's so lenient! everything is up to u!
here's one big difference (if u're studying architecture): in msia, they start counting ur CGPA as soon as u sit ur first exam in the first year. once u flunk or get a low grade in a subject, u'll be hard pressed for ur first class. too many Bs? then forget about first class altogether. here in sheffield, anything u score during ur first year wont be counted. if u score, goodlah. if u didnt, no big deal. ur 2nd year will be counted only 30% of total CGPA, while ur 3rd year is counted 70%. so even if u're a late bloomer, u can still score here. there are lots of ways for u to score in ur studies in the UK. there isnt one way to do it. |

For UK undergrad masters, the weightage is typically 0 - 30 - 30 - 40 (%). |

Few questions needs to be answered, hoping someone can help.
International students pay a higher fee compared to Euro Union students, International students fee is about 11,000 pounds compared to Euro Union students at about 3,000 pounds I wonder does the system have a flaw? Assume that a malaysian student who completes his first yr here and wishes to further his/her studies in UK, if he/she applies for a university in UK as a Euro Union student. Does that mean he/she will be able to enjoy the priviledge of paying 3,000 pounds annually? |

No. It is the same situation in Malaysia (I guess) whereby locals get cheaper tuition fees compare to foreigners. Correct me if I'm wrong.International students pay a higher fee compared to Euro Union students, International students fee is about 11,000 pounds compared to Euro Union students at about 3,000 pounds I wonder does the system have a flaw? No. You are not qualify to do that. To qualify as locals or something similar, you have to be in that particular country for a number of years. Practically it is the same as like applying PR.Does that mean he/she will be able to enjoy the priviledge of paying 3,000 pounds annually? |

You can't simply fill in your nationality as French when you're holding a Malaysia passport.International students pay a higher fee compared to Euro Union students, International students fee is about 11,000 pounds compared to Euro Union students at about 3,000 pounds I wonder does the system have a flaw? There's a misunderstanding, when i mentioned if a person applies for a UK university as a Euro Union student, i meant a person who has a European passport, for example an Austrian passport or German passport.
Meaning, a malaysian student who has did his/her first yr in m'sia wishing to further studies in UK, applying as a Euro Union student with a European passport. I have a friend who has two passports, and he told me about Euro Union student paying a cheaper fee, so i just wanted to confirm this. And also the possibility of him getting into a UK university from Malaysia as a Euro Union student with a Malaysian education background. |

Sorry for misunderstanding. In that case, yes you can apply. However, you have to seek further information about that from the uni you are studying.Meaning, a malaysian student who has did his/her first yr in m'sia wishing to further studies in UK, applying as a Euro Union student with a European passport. A Malaysian with an European passport? As a Malaysian, you are not allowed to hold another passport. Your friend could be forced to make a decision if they probe and find out he's been studying in Malaysia as a Malaysian citizen and suddenly he's trying to go on a European passport....Meaning, a malaysian student who has did his/her first yr in m'sia wishing to further studies in UK, applying as a Euro Union student with a European passport. I took Singapore Airlines frm Malaysia.
They are pretty strict with Main luggage but not for hand luggage. I could see people bringing two hand luggages with a laptop somemore. They are on economy class though. I thought it's restricted to only one hand luggage. Is this 'one hand luggage' only applied on MAS frm Malaysia? |
