True, they have alot of web of knowledge and engineering village resources at your dispossal and it is highly adviced that you do flip through some of the journals. Relying on webbie information is a huge no no and chances of getting caught plagiarising is higher laugh.gif

Most of my stuff comes the web from FYP because my topic is new. Nothing to refer too. So, I have to use Uncle Google most of the time smile.gif . I can't refer much because my project is software-based. Anyway, these materials are for you to refer not to think about. In the end of the day, your thesis/report is what you think about the project that you are doing with your own explanation.

About visas.

I was studying in a boarding school in the UK for the past 1.5 years and my student visa has expired. Now, for university do I just have to renew my visa or do I need to apply for a new visa altogether (and at the same time taking another medical report, etc etc)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Give British Embassy a call. Visa regulation changes every year. It's better for you to ask them for a defintie answer

It's actually 20kg. For the extra 10kg, we have to apply, but they'll usually approve

There's more to life than just studying there. rclxms.gif

You can improve your social life there by get along with locals.
Not to mention go to gigs, watch football, travel around Europe, etc. rclxm9.gif

But be sure that academic is your first priority, and remember your roots. sweat.gif

How much would one football match ticket cost, approx?
Also, what are the places in Europe that you would recommend to a student?

EPL match tickets are usually sold out, thanks to season pass holders. If you really want to catch a match, you can get tickets from the black market.........which is not worth it since the price may go up to like GBP300.

Try division 1,2,3 or conference................................

Sheffield United!! laugh.gif . I remembered that there's a match between Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday (or maybe Sheffield United) in year 2005 or so. Tickets then are about 30, I guess. And yes, you couldn't get any tickets for EPL. You probably could purchase those not-so-good team versus good team matches. But then again, the sittings are bad and price kinda high.

About that 400GB HDD. I'm planning to bring an external 3.5"HDD along. Should I check it in or carry-on? Also what's the procedure like to bring in a lappie?
Heard that you have to turn it on so they can be sure it's not a bomb or something. Same for the external HDD?

^ I'm not sure about now but back then, there are no procedures to bring a laptop. Furthermore, they did not check my laptop. As for the HDD, you carry-on.
