what is the correct setup? uefi or legacy? raid or ahci? install to hard disk or msata?

Wan to let go my Sager NP6110 / Clevo W110ER, anyone interest? 1.5years old item, too many laptop.
 Still m11x r3 the best. thought this sager can replace it, apparently not. |

i'm planning to buy aw 17 with gtx 970, but i saw some with 80gb ssd cache or etc cache, can i upgrade to 256 gb ssd for program and 1tb hdd only for file?
