If the position is an upgrade from your current position in term of salary or accountability, just go for it. Hiring people in contract first seems like trending right now as company want to play safe to avoid they hire the wrong person permanently.

Yeah. Looking for long term.

Do you know the salary range for G2 G3 and G4 in Petronas?

Have you got the OL? Btw, they will not offer you lower than your supposed grade. If you are deem as g2 or g3, the offer will follow according to respective pay scale. Also, they will consider your current salary package and compensate that. Usually they will offer around 15-20% increment. Of course they will try to offer lowest plausible salary to you, but they wont offer less than what you got now.

But the salary difference between contract & permanent is quite significant.

Hi, I'm a chemical engineer graduate currently finding a job. Anyone can refer me to some connections? I already tried applying for almost two months and more than 200 jobs. 95% of them does not have any news. Some have interviews, but no experience on specific field and being rejected. Some has called, then no news. Tried to follow up and they told me to wait...

Hi. I am a Petronas scholar and I've just graduated recently. I have been considering if I should continue with master but that would make my bond with Petronas to be extended to 8 years. It's quite long and I am not sure if I could make it. Is there any advice since you've been working there for 5 years. ๐Ÿ˜…

G3 IS starting grade for senior executive.

If u're not even sure for this basic thing please refrain from giving other advices based on what u 'think'. We are not playing lego bricks here, we are running a billion dollar worth of platform/refinery/plant/etc. Just some heads up before joining this industry, ur opinion is useless without a fact. No offense icon_rolleyes.gif
