For PET ICT Behavioral Interview is second interview. If you passed there will be final interview.

I also got interviewed for operation. But they told me at the end of the interview that the position is just what the HR thinks you are suitable at. At the end it depends on whether the hiring manager are interested on you.

Hopefully we both can get in together. hahahha.

Was asking around and they said that most of the position are filled by newly graduated petronas scholars.

by any chance you live nearby any lrt stations? i think it better to commute through public transport if you will be based there. or does your job require you to drive around (outside meeting, appointments etc.) regularly?

I think it is not BoD, it is the HoD (Head of Dept) of the dept that want to take you in.

Aside, it is quite relieving to hear that there is no sign of recruitment freeze from HR. But the info that I got is from the SM of the dept that want to take me in himself - after he explained the current position of Petronas right now. MCO is second thing. But the most concerning factor for them is the plunging oil price.

Anyway - not sure whether this is only applicable to my department or the entire Pet group itself.

Mine is permanent - with Petronas itself, not 3rd party. My status has been hanging for almost a year since the interview.
Yes you are right. The last approval should be from the HoD, which I am stuck into since ages.

no i did not. the HR called and asked whether im interested with this position. it's a Sr Exec / Manager role in IT (trying to keep it vague)

based on the progress I would say the process is quite fast (first contact early May, technical Iv mid may and just last week i received update for HR chit chat)

Hiring process in Prefchem for your references:

6/8/2020 - Received call from HR
19/8/20 - Chit chat
19/8/20 - Online assessment (cubik)
21/8/20 - Completed online assessment (cubik)
10/9/20 - CBI
23/9/20 - Email Notification of job offer
6/10/20 - Received offer letter

Due to covid, chit chat and CBI were via Microsoft Team.
I wore formal for both chit chat and cbi but eventually turned out interviewers did not use video call also, only voice call in Microsoft Team, hence you no need to wear formal. Haha!

FYI, I cannot complete each section of the online assessment.
Online assessment has 3 sections to be completed within 4 min in each session.
