Getting Started

Hye everyone... Will I be blacklisted for not attending or rejecting the invitation for the TA? I've made agree to be attending the TA scheduled to be this 28feb2014 (of my choice, since they made me choose 27 or 28feb). They will only give me the details later (after I've replied the date of the interview). So far, no job title, no nothing. the only detail that I know of is that the email was from the HRM-GTS. Anyone went for the TA at this dept before?

Dear all.
I haver two questions.
1. We someone resigned from Petronas or its subsidiary, does he is blacklisted from applying another position in Petronas in the future? 2. What is the different between standard T&C companies and Non-Standard T&C companies?
Many thanks.

Before, they were quite vengeful.

Hi all, First of all, thanks to everyone who posted so much info on Petronas. This was the place where I always refer to before attending interviews with Petronas. And alhamdulillah i've received the offer letter from Petronas (Technology and Engineering). Am in the midst of negotiating the salary with the HR (of course you can't negotiate the benefit), appreciate if experts here can help. Am not sure whether this has been asked previously, but can someone let me know what would be the salary range for someone who has 5 years of experience? I've been offered grade G02, most probably will be dealing with non-technical stuff and from discussions with HR, they told me typically the salary increase that they usually offer to new staff would be in the range of 15-17%. I find it difficult to accept that fact, so hopefully you guys can assist me. Thanking you in advance! Cheers!

My brother had 6 years of experience and was offered an extra 1500 ringgit from his previous salary (which is about 25%) but since it took so bloody long to get him into the company, the actual increment by then was about 17%

Yes, same modus operandi. My brother even sent his new salary slip but it was not entertained by HR, so I advised him to suck it up and look at it for the long term. I believe he is doing quite well. An international posting is in the cards.
