can give me the steps? because first time using multimeter haha sorry for the trouble

i try make it as simple as possible.
1)turn your multimeter to 1k ohm.
2)in the starquad cable should be is 2 colour but 1 colour got 2 wires right? let say blue, u put the red tip to 1 end of the cable and black tip to another end of the cable.
3)look at the multimeter:
i-if multimeter shows value near to 0ohm(depends on your wire and multimeter accuracy), proceed to step 5.
ii-if multimeter shows value 1k, red tip stay and black tip go to another same colour wire, proceed step 4.
4)if still 1k ohm then something going wrong.Have to re-troubleshoot, cant go step 5.
5)open champagne celebrate.

sorry for my bad english and the way i give steps. sad.gif

i tried switching the wires around again and than I made sure no solder come in contact with each other as well. But sound still comes out fine when listening to music so i guess i,ll just leave it at that.

Guys i need to clear some doubts.. I just entered this audiophile world. IMO cables cannot improve the quality of the sound, whats important is the source right? Cables can only degrade the quality thats already there but by using a cable you cannot "increase" the quality if in the first place you already have a decent cable. Im no engineer but i think as long as the electrical signals can be passed (lets say interconnect) from source to amp etc... without distortion then it will sound as good as the source right? So i guess a decent cable with good conductivity and sheilding is enough.. no need for it to be "cryo smtg" hehehe~ Please enlighten me smile.gif

Cables don't "improve" the sound quality. They can alter the signature and reduce the amount of distortion.

Hmm in what application can it alter the signature? If its just a 5cm interconnect can it make much difference ?

For a mere 5cm, I wouldn't waste money on expensive cables as the difference wouldn't be noticeable to my ears. But for longer cables, the characteristics of the sounds can be noticed.
How about we do a little meetup somewhere quiet? I can bring the cables with my headphones and a DAC/amp unit. But you have to bring a laptop because I run on desktop.

the extra 9 in 99.999 wont make any difference unless you have the 'golden ears' some claims to have, the cable will be fine if its comply cable manufacturing standard.

I suggest use canare cable, bang for the buck but don't buy from pcwork or jaben(other stuff is fine, only cable is super expensive), they just selling it way too expensive.
