yea where do you guys get the raw cable and plugs? and which do you recommend to use as interconnect?

physical shop i not really sure but i did search ACE hardware store. they do sell premium speaker cable.

hi, just received the copper cable from Plussound. Along with the stuffs from Qables which I've received just some days ago, I couldn't wait to start making the cable right away! I think I have made a real good one this time, with very very careful attentions and patience.

It is for my upcoming Compact Monitors Stage 3 custom IEM, I've not even ordered the CIEM yet, but expecting it in a month time from now. I know I'm crazy

the connectors are still on the way, so it is unfinished yet.

I'm having trouble finding plugs...cant find it in Radioshack or Ace Hardware the only place I can find Canare plugs and cables are on ebay...can canare stuff be found at jalan pasar?

they do sell canare cables @ jalan pasar (corner lot-forgot the shop name). plugs not sure. was thr tis morning. di buy tho

How much for the cable?

was within the range or > RM5.5 foot if I recall correctly. end corner lot of the row of shophouses are you comes from the Pudu LRT.

tried before but i prefer other cable the cat5e is too hard and the plactic shell is not that good

well other way to do it is to braid it without taking off the thick sleeving. looks easier

after realizing canare f-12 plugs are expensive...any other recommendations for plugs?

id recommend amphenol KS3-- over canare f12,,,,,

1- look profesional even diy
2- industrial std (studio/pro use them)
3- price reasonable ~rm8 (compared to canare/switchcraft)
4- can find locally

but if youre on a very tight budget id recommend neutrik/rean nys231 (~rm3)

a- beginner diy usually go for canare (more wow factor)
b- experience diy will go for amphenol

canare plugs are really good sounding, it give good soundstage and highs. Quite worth.

im sure they're good but right now im buying a superlux 668b and the cables are faulty so im going to DIY one. Does neutrick,canare etc. have 3.5 female plugs?

is it true they cost like rm20+ each? because thats what I read...
