56kg at 170 cm??? and u still want to lose fat? i think you are 'thin' enough la
anyway, dont worry abt the yolks.. when u eat eggs, just eat them whole. you're just throwing away the only most important part of the egg. all the vitamins, omega fats and vital cholesterol are there. maybe if u want to lose fat faster, try cutting on rice and go for more eggs and maybe do more intense cardio (faster). hope that helps |

QUOTE(kai539 @ Sep 13 2008, 11:53 AM) can somebody help me with my diet? eat the whole eggs, not egg whites alone. my body fat level is currently 14%, i wanted to be in single digit body fat percentage, how can i reach there? Wake up at 4:15am(cause later i gotta go to study) do cardio for 30 minutes with empty stomach+a little crunch and chest 4:45 - two glasses of skimmed milk 7am - four egg white+potato+carrot 9am - economic rice. dining out: half cup brown rice+two greeny veggie(I'm a vegetarian but eat eggs and milk) 1pm - economic rice, dining out: half cup brown rice+two greeny veggie 3pm - 20 grams of peanut 5pm - 2 whole eggs and 1 egg white 8pm - snOOze~ basically i get 60 grams of protein every day, cause I heard that eating too much protein can lead to kidney failure and a vegetarian lifestyle is healthier and makes my mind clearer I heard that the body can manufacture protein out of amino acid in grains, veggies and legumes, so i don't eat too much complete protein my weight 56kg and height is about 170cm, basically an ecto daily energy intake is about 1800kcal to 2000 can i reach 9% body fat level with this lifestyle? (p/s: I just wanna get ripped, not bulking up)~^thanks google up cholesterol myth.. |

O blood types store carbs as fat more quickly then other blood types? But that doesn't really make sense, why does blood type dictate carb metabolism? Why not other factors? Anybody have any leads on this?
Incidentally, I'm B -ve but I'm still fat as **** hahaha. Well, maybe not for long, since I started worshipping at the Temple of Steel aka gym. |

The effect of protein on the kidney is quite a contentious subject because of the many other nutritional factors involved. Additionally the age of a person also affects his kidney efficiency, besides the existing health of the kidney prior to starting protein augmentation.
There is no gradual impact on the kidney workings as the protein is ingested in higher amounts but there is a limit to this ceiling. This is the safe zone that may vary from person to person and therefore paying attention to reasonable protein ingestion is a prudent precaution. Furthermore, the taking of too much protein does not necessarily help in muscle building as the kidney has a processing threshold (2-3 gm/hr), beyond this which the protein is just filtered in the kidney and expelled in the urine. Too much protein overloads the kidney, requiring it to work harder than necessary to mop up the creatine, albumin, urea & other protein by-products from the bloodstream. Additionally the liver strains in tandem to clear the nitrogen & urea. The intestine can only absorb 1-8 gm of amino acids / hr so spreading protein ingestion over a time period helps. There are many types of protein and they place different requirements on the kidney. Eg whey protein places less stress on the kidney, milk protein a bit more, and meat protein even more; meaning that the kidney filtration rate has been measured to have increased in instances of different protein consumed. Soy protein is viewed quite favourably in being more gently to the kidneys. Generally, vegetarians have lower blood pressure due to the minimal protein in their diets. AMERICAN JOURNAL OF KIDNEY DISEASES 'Studies on human subjects (usually without distinguishing the type of protein) indicate that the effects of dietary protein are minimal in nondiabetic patients with no renal injury..' Diabetes causes kidney damage but if a person is not diabetic, it does not mean that he is exempted from kidney problems. A person without diabetes may also be susceptible to disturbances to the kidney function. The key is being reasonable in consumption. A larger car may need more litres of engine oil, but overfilling the engine over the recommended level will overload its capability. |
