hmm.. so we should consume raw milk instead? where can get here? i thought fresh milk only can see in the movies where they deliver door2door.

glucose polymers? meaning more complex sugars like maltodextrin? sorry i'm quite new at this..

It is quite OK if you eat canned food once in a while. Damaged protein is toxin to our body. Our body can tolerate a little bit of toxin.
If it take on regular basis, I think you will know what will happen.

You can get fresh milk from Indian guy who comes in a bike going round in the neighbourhood.

That's right but there are many grades.

whaat seriously? i didnt know got indian guy who sells milk. must go hunt him down. i stay in damansara area. got meh? haha never knew.

I did saw someone post from the web that says that 3 full eggs each day can boost the growth of muscle .. but nobody knows the truth ...

Btw heres another question .. How many tablespoons of oats you guys take each day ? I took 10 tablespoons at once in the morning everyday .. will the carbo be too high for me as I'm a big fan of rice also ..
*
i take 4 whole eggs at once sometimes for meals. put soy sauce pepper, scramble in a bowl and microwave. about cholesterol, no need to worry. here's an article abt cholesterol :

http://www.chelationtherapyonline.com/articles/p125.htm

in the morning i take about 5-7 tbs of oats. sometimes i'm just too lazy to cook them i just blend and drink together with protein shake. haha. i think as long as u dont consume too much complex carbs after dinner should be okay. for dinner should start cutting on carbs and go more on fruits veges and protein. IMO

hi,
i'm actually weighing 75kgs and i'm 176cm tall.. so i'm wondering do i need to lose weight?? i think i really need since i have a little bit of old man's stomach.
i'm not very sure how to lose weight.. eating rice contributing in gaining weight?? because i'm a very heavy eater and i eat quite a lot of rice.
so what do you guys think?? should i stop eating the rice and eat something else instead?? please give me comments

thank you

if possible you guys can provide me a diet plan for the whole week smile.gif
hehe

why u wanna lose weight? i'm abt your height and i wanna reach 75kg! i'm abt 70 plus now. just lift weights, build muscle and eat healthily. convert your belly to abs and fat to muscle. don't worry too much abt the numbers on the scale honestly.

hey guys im a noob at bodybuilding and need some help. i noe to build up muscles, u need to eat 6 times a day. something like this rite?

8 a.m.: breakfast

11 a.m.: snack

1 p.m.: lunch

4 p.m.: snack

6 p.m.: dinner

8 p.m.: snack

but the thing is, im not sure wat or how i shud eat. can anyone advice me and stuff? and wat supplements are essential for bodybuilding? i was thinking of getting nutrex mass xxplosion.
*
just make sure u eat healthy foods. carbs=rice, wholemeal bread, oatmeal, noodles; protein=eggs, chicken, beef, other meats, tuna, fish, whey; fats=peanut butter, healthy oils (which are usually in cod fish and salmon), egg yolk (dont worry abt taking too many, its healthy fats and cholesterol).

something like that. make sure every meal u get plenty of protein (maybe 20-30g if ure starting out) and carbs (if you're bulking). if u need to bump your calories even more, whack peanut butter with every meal. just make sure its not those high in saturated fats.

i follow your plan too. meals usually rice/noodles with meat/eggs. for snack usually i microwave eggs and eat bread, eat canned tuna with cheese... etc. up to u. make up your own recipe and be creative. just make sure ure eating enough protein (1g per lb of your bodyweight) and eat a big meal after your workout. that should ensure that u grow. but IMHO quite hard to eat 6 meals a day.. i did it on thursday but it was quite troublesome for me. haha. maybe u can prepare your own protein shakes to carry around so u can drink as snacks.

and up to u if u wanna get a mass gainer. i only have a whey supplement. for mass drinks i usually blend something like milk eggs whey peanut butter together. quite alot of everything and tastes quite good. good luck

This is a misconception that you need lots of carbs to bulk up. All the bulks that you gain from carbs are fat bulk, not muscle bulk.
There is no such thing like I bulk first then cut later. Every dumb instructors would tell you that.
In bodybuilding our goal is to achieve muscular body, either lean muscular body or massive muscular body.
You must understand the basic nutrition in order to achieve your desire body.
Muscle is made of protein and fat. Carbs provide fuel to your muscle for workout.
Carbs can't build muscles. There is no such thing like essential carb or sugar.
*
that's a good point. but i read that u need to carb load and whack carbs during the day to fuel your workouts + promote workout pumps? have been having trouble achieving the pump with several body parts, so thought i'd eat as much carbs as i can during the day. also heard taking salt promotes pumps. not satisfied with my workout progress nowadays, dont really feel complete after finishing a workout (muscles feel fatigued, somewhat a small pump but not really optimal). plus i'm an ectomorph so i thought i'd cut down on carbs if i see that i'm gaining too much fat. wuts caratino oil btw? thanks in advance. thumbup.gif

You don't need carb to get pump as proven in low carb, hi fat and hi protein diet. This diet was made popular by a pro trainer in US. I didn't have any problem getting pump when I was on low carb diet. You need to eat adequate oil to fuel your workout.

Try taking calcium supplement. Calcium helps in muscle contraction.  (really??)
And also try pre exhaust method in your workout. Do your isolation exercise first before doing the compound exercises. Start with 2 sets of hi reps 20-25 reps before doing the actual sets. This should pump your muscles up. flex.gif

As for an ectomorph, you shouldn't have to worry about carb unless your are an endomorph.  hmm.gif

Caratino is red palm oil produced in Malaysia. It is a high quality oil that contains hi levels of tocopherols and tocotrienols.
It is also good for cooking as it can withstand heat. Much cheaper than olive oil. Another good oil you could use is extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil.
I like this one, taste better than caratino or olive. thumbup.gif

thats some awesome info there 4rings! thanks so much. didnt know about the calcium thing. i read something like that about salt though. muscular contraction and what not. yeah the preexhaust thing sounds good. something like overdone warmup sets right?

one more thing, as u said earlier, carbs wont build 5lb of muscle but can build 5lb of fat. it doesn't apply the same to fats right? i'm eating quite a lot of peanut butter now. it's part of my calorie shake which i take for bfast and between meals if i have nothing else to eat. how much extra consumed fat will lead to body fat storage? or should i keep my fat to a minimum too? i see your diet u eat like a couple of tbs of oil to supplement your meat diet. can't imagine how that would keep you full without like a bowl of rice or something unsure.gif

thanks again, i'll definitely bookmark this notworthy.gif

Like those who were very stubborn (stubborn fat), I put them on fat induction diet. This diet is extremely high in fat to induce fat loss.
This is for only a couple of days because it may have adverse effects on health.

When I was first introduced low carb, hi protein and hi fat diet, I had not eaten a grain of rice for more than a year.
It took me a month to get use to this diet. I even tried eating carb as low as 30g a day.
It needs a lot of discipline to eat like this. I can't do it now. I love fried rice, Kong Fu Chow and Fook Kin Min.
*
what type of health effects? btw i've heard of such a diet before. if u look it up on bb.com its called CHA diet by team scivation marc lobliner. i downloaded the pdf and it says that it needs some time to get used to cause your body will start to get sluggish as it's not used to getting energy from fats rather than carbs.

how abt glycogen stores and insulin spikes?

so in conclusion its safe to just maintain a low carb diet to get more ripped right? what other side effects would it include? i.e. sluggishness, ketosis, etc.

sorry for shooting so many questions. thanks again very much notworthy.gif

haha. try adding more protein and healthy fats (peanut butter, healthy oils etc) to your diet to bump up your calories. together with a solid workout program, your body should start gaining muscle. it's good that u can't get fat. people would kill to have that u know biggrin.gif

looks all right.. according to 4Rings, it should take awhile before your body is able to use fat as energy. consuming carbs shud be fine as long as you burn them during workouts. try this for cardio:

good luck. btw, why don't u try eating nuts/healthy peanut butter when you're hungry ie at night?

No such thing. You probably eat other junk foods.
Whey is good for slimming beside being used for building muscles.
Whey contains Glycomacropeptide which send signal to your brain telling you that you're full, don't eat anymore buddy.
Whey also boosts your energy level for you to work more efficient.
Whey is a good way to healthy life.

serious?? i feel like whey is not filling at all. i can drink whey with water right before a meal and still chow like a monster biggrin.gif

I still wonder if having a postworkout meal which consist of 1tbsp of peanut butter + 1 cup of oats + 1 scoop whey + 2 cups of milk. Is that sufficient to replace the meal? In terms of calories i bet it is. But is it realistic?

yeah its all right. i blend that all the time for bfast and in between meals biggrin.gif

Thought so, as long as i get some ratio and calories, it should be sufficient for a postworkout meal.
