hey guys, i', on my way to start my own diet. i'm thinking of diet that can cut down my body fat and at the same time, building up some mass. is it doable?

my initial plan is;
breakfast @ 7.00am: 3 or 4 half-boiled eggs(whole eggs)
morning snack @ 9.30am : rolled oats + whey + a slice of fresh fruits
lunch @ 12.00pm : normal rice, vege, meat
afternoon snack @ 3.00pm : rolled oats + whey + raisins
dinner @ 6.00pm (preworkout meal) : normal rice, vege, meat
######workout at 8.30pm to 10.00pm#########
post workout @ 10pm : 2 scoop of whey protein shake
pre bedtime @ 11pm: 1 scoop of whey protein shake with peanut butter

is it okay to plan like this? please comment and help me to improve. thanks a bunch people

the point is, if i were to reduce so much carbs, am i able to grow? my goal is not just cut, but to build muscles too.

i think most of the forum members here recommend 2 scoop of whey for post workout. that's why i'm following that advice.

fruits have simple sugar, and is apple considered low GI carbs?

i need more input/insight in my initial diets..

and 1 more, to lose weight, is it necessary to drink whey protein after cardio?
*
the purpose of drinking whey after cardio/workout is to stop the our body from catabolic state, and at the same time switch to anabolic state. it;s the same for both lose fat or gain lean mass. protein will be used to repair the damaged muscles.

QUOTE(Ezymeal.com @ Aug 1 2008, 01:26 AM)
thought whey protein is to gain mass/weight??? rclxub.gif
*
to gain mass/weight, you'll need protein and calories. protein rebuilds muscles, calories provide you enegy for the that.

Hey ppl, i have a quest here. When we r following the low carbs high fat high protein diet, is tat suitable for bulking as well?
Edited : i have read some of the article about fat diet (more likely to be a keto diet) that the bulk calories is derive from the protein fat and carbs that u have intake. So when we do those bulking, we count on those protein, carbs, fat calories thinggy??

e.g. - 250g protein = 1000cals
        250g fat = 1000 cals
        100 carbs = 500 cals
and add up to be 2500 cals a day .... so if let say i m 200lbs then my cal intake should be cal on 3000 - 3200 intake wif proper Protein:fat:carbs ratio?

* the calories stated is just for sample, not based on realistic actual figure.

I just need to clarify wat i have read, please do correct me if i have misunderstood any of the information. Thx ppl  blush.gif
*
erhmm.. are you talking about 'clean bulking'? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

if i'm not mistaken, for normal diet, calories are derived from carbs(main source), fats(secondary) and protein(last resort). same goes for the keto diet. since your body is low on carbs, the carbs are burnt within a very short time, forcing your body to use fats as primary source of calories(energy). protein is the worst source of energy.

Fat: 1 gram = 9 calories
Protein: 1 gram = 4 calories
Carbohydrates: 1 gram = 4 calories
Alcohol: 1 gram = 7 calories

and protein is for repairing and prevent muscle to be synthesized as a source of protein.

So, is this gona work for bulking? but if consuming 200g healthy fat :puke:
*
bold: you mean energy?
in order to prevent muscles broken down, it's advised to eat every 3 hours.

200g healthy fats per day is a lot man, you sure the you need that much? i'm not really into this calories counting thinggy, but then roughly calculated, i'm taking ~ 90g of fats daily(i supposed 6 x 15g).

gotta ask 4Rings for the details. your questions get me rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

QUOTE(kai539 @ Sep 13 2008, 11:53 AM)
can somebody help me with my diet?
my body fat level is currently 14%, i wanted to be in single digit body fat percentage, how can i reach there?

Wake up at 4:15am(cause later i gotta go to study)
do cardio for 30 minutes with empty stomach+a little crunch and chest
4:45 - two glasses of skimmed milk
7am - four egg white+potato+carrot
9am - economic rice. dining out: half cup brown rice+two greeny veggie(I'm a vegetarian but eat eggs and milk)
1pm - economic rice, dining out: half cup brown rice+two greeny veggie
3pm - 20 grams of peanut
5pm - 2 whole eggs and 1 egg white
8pm - snOOze~

basically i get 60 grams of protein every day, cause I heard that eating too much protein can lead to kidney failure and a vegetarian lifestyle is healthier and makes my mind clearer
I heard that the body can manufacture protein out of amino acid in grains, veggies and legumes, so i don't eat too much complete protein
my weight 56kg and height is about 170cm, basically an ecto
daily energy intake is about 1800kcal to 2000
can i reach 9% body fat level with this lifestyle?
(p/s: I just wanna get ripped, not bulking up)~^thanks

Weekdays meals should be hi protein, very hi fat and less than 30g carb.
Weekends should be very hi in carb, very low protein and fat.
This is a real tough diet.  I managed to last 3 months.

why is it on weekend need to lower the protein ? Wont we lose the muscle because of low protein. As for me, low carb diet is more tough. No sweet and junk for longer period. But if can eat carbs during weekend, that can cure some crave for carb  rclxms.gif but this diet is low protein and fat on weekends. What food should I eat? All the bread and sweet drink ?

a normal male, age of 20, without any vigorous physical activity has a BMR of ~ 1800 to 2000kcal. it depends on your body weight also
