ooops I see nearly all product is processed. so, look for low lactose means low carb. I dont plan to eat whey right now. My source of protein now is egg, chicken, meat, fish. Now drinking 1x250ml HL milk every morning or night. I can see the carb count there is only 11g

Lactose is a type of carbohydrate lah. Not indicated on the labels.
Total carb count already include lactose. |

QUOTE(lcsum @ Jul 9 2008, 08:17 PM) since milk in the supermarket is not so good.....hw about the indian guys who sells raw milk its good rite and how is the lactose content in this type of milk (raw milk)? Raw milk is good. It contains all the nutrients present in milk. Pasteurisation destroyed some of the important nutrients and also altered the chemical structure of milk. Just like eating magarine. Better not to criticize too much. There are many pasteurised milk supporters here. I don't wanna get assassinated by one of them. |

Haha. True. Its like trying to compare Mother's Milk with powdered milk. We may debate the fact that powdered milk for babies is great cuz of nutrients and all.
but natural milk is the real deal, real health. Still, I wonder how raw cow's milk taste though. Don't really favor the vanilla taste on HL (that's what i feel tho). |

See my comments in BLUE. U are taking like 4 scoops of whey a day, which is 400kcal extra apart from your normal food. I don't think what you are eating is cutting. Too much carbs throughout ur meals and snack. It is tough to get used to eating lesser but take more fruits if u are really hungry, take apple as it has lower GI. But do not take too much of these at night as it has sugar too oh:). just my 2 cents, i may be wrong. It is up to you to try it out yourself.my initial plan is; breakfast @ 7.00am: 3 or 4 half-boiled eggs(whole eggsToo light, take some carbs in the morning should be ok morning snack @ 9.30am : rolled oats + whey + a slice of fresh fruitsI will put the oats for breakfast instead. Just take whey and fruits for snack lunch @ 12.00pm : normal rice, vege, meatAgain, less rice more meat and vege afternoon snack @ 3.00pm : rolled oats + whey + raisinsCarbs again? I tot you are cutting? Just whey will do or others dinner @ 6.00pm (preworkout meal) : normal rice, vege, meatLess rice, not a must to have whey here but recommended ######workout at 8.30pm to 10.00pm######### post workout @ 10pm : 2 scoop of whey protein shakeTake 1 scoop of whey here pre bedtime @ 11pm: 1 scoop of whey protein shake with peanut butterwhy PB when u wana cut? Just whey will do is it okay to plan like this? please comment and help me to improve. thanks a bunch people |

the point is, if i were to reduce so much carbs, am i able to grow? my goal is not just cut, but to build muscles too.
i think most of the forum members here recommend 2 scoop of whey for post workout. that's why i'm following that advice. fruits have simple sugar, and is apple considered low GI carbs? i need more input/insight in my initial diets.. |
