What about mine:

Morning: Bread/mee hoon/5 egg whites + 1 serving of whey + 1 serving of cereal drink
Snack: Milo
Noon: Rice/mee hoon (depends)
Snack: Milo
Pre-workout: 2 pieces of plain biscuits + coffee
Post-workout: 1 serving of whey
Dinner: Meehoon or 0.5 bowl of rice + vege and chicken
Prior Bed: 1 serving of Whey

I drink alot of water throughout the day. I take 2~3 cups of green tea a day too.
It is very hard to eat constantly for my lunch and dinner. It greatly depends on the work. But I am trying to limit the calories consumption to the lowest. Each meal around 500kcal. I dont want to bulk too much, i want lean type.

When I am hungry, i will gulp either some apples or egg whites. But, i `m not always hungry, i think i`m used to this style haah

Calories per day:
Morning: ~400 k cal
Noon~ 600 k cal
Dinner~ 600 k cal
Whey~ 330 k cal

Total: 1930 k cal. Just some rough calculation hehe, correct me if i`m wrong. So far, i do see some results after 4 weeks of training + clean food...

Do comment on my diet. Thanks

I think each milk has almost the same amount of carbs...do some reasearch in the stores!haha, my research so far was to find the highest protein and lowest fats milk and i found it- HL. 2nd is dutch lady lo-fat which has same amount of fats but only 8.5g (or 8.8g,lupa) protein

hey guys, i', on my way to start my own diet. i'm thinking of diet that can cut down my body fat and at the same time, building up some mass. is it doable?

my initial plan is;
breakfast @ 7.00am: 3 or 4 half-boiled eggs(whole eggsToo light, take some carbs in the morning should be ok
morning snack @ 9.30am : rolled oats + whey + a slice of fresh fruitsI will put the oats for breakfast instead. Just take whey and fruits for snack
lunch @ 12.00pm : normal rice, vege, meatAgain, less rice more meat and vege
afternoon snack @ 3.00pm : rolled oats + whey + raisinsCarbs again? I tot you are cutting? Just whey will do or others
dinner @ 6.00pm (preworkout meal) : normal rice, vege, meatLess rice, not a must to have whey here but recommended
######workout at 8.30pm to 10.00pm#########
post workout @ 10pm : 2 scoop of whey protein shakeTake 1 scoop of whey here
pre bedtime @ 11pm: 1 scoop of whey protein shake with peanut butterwhy PB when u wana cut? Just whey will do

is it okay to plan like this? please comment and help me to improve. thanks a bunch people

See my comments in BLUE. U are taking like 4 scoops of whey a day, which is 400kcal extra apart from your normal food. I don't think what you are eating is cutting. Too much carbs throughout ur meals and snack. It is tough to get used to eating lesser but take more fruits if u are really hungry, take apple as it has lower GI. But do not take too much of these at night as it has sugar too oh:). just my 2 cents, i may be wrong. It is up to you to try it out yourself.

yeah u definitely need carbs as u need the str, just try to reduce the carbs throughout the day. Take carbs for pre-workout.
Apple if not mistaken is lo/medium.

btw, since i've changed my diet to a bodybuilder's diet (5-6 protein meals a day) and increased my meal portions quite drastically, i've grown a significant belly biggrin.gif it's not flab, its a hard tummy. is this temporal and will it go away once i start cutting? cause i notice some pro bodybuilders have a gut when they pose on stage. have to suck in a bit.

oh no, i realized that too..and i am experiencing the same thing...sigh...

make sure ur calories intake is lesser than than the calories that u burn.
Besides, cut down on carbs and fats if u really wana lose weight. it is hard to lose and gain at the same time.

you are taking a lot of carbs if you want to lose weight. try to cut down on carbs. if you really need carb, take complex/lo GI carb. cracker and white bread are not advisable. try whole grain bread, oats etc.

Guys, i could use some help with my daily meals here....im currently cutting...please comment on my mistakes...

7am - Oats + A little cereals + Skim Milk + 2000mg fish oil.
8.30am - Preworkout (A cup of Black Coffee + Skim Milk)
10am - Postworkout (40grams of whey protein) + Dextrose Monohydrate (Glucolin)
12.30pm - Lunch, Half bowl of rice + Lean Pork + 2 Hard Boiled Eggs
3.30pm - Yogurt (Fat Free) + Some fruits
7.30pm - Dinner, Vege + Fish + Some Lean Meat

This is basically what im taking right now? is my protein intake sufficient? do i need to add on the carbs? i weigh at about 170lbs with a bf of 22.4% currently. I tried going on fatburners but it just didn't work for me...so, i took coffee for preworkout instead.

glycemix index...i'll do some reading on that...

@spooky...what do you suggest...i have no more ideas on adjusting it lol...you mean the quantity of the protein on workout days and non workout days?
*
hmm..it depends on ur body though. U need to adjust and see lo, if u find that u are feeling "heaty" means that ur protein is not being utilized and u are stressing ur body to filter the unused protein. Adjust the intake based on ur training intensity and needs...need some time to adjust....i took like 2 months to understand my needs, now i think i roughly found it la....
taking more doesnt mean grow faster/more...just take sufficient ....just my 2 cents, i may be wrong, but that i what i practise

Here is my daily diet which I have been following religiously for the past 3 weeks. I am working towards building more muscle mass and reduce my body fat. My current body fat % is about 27% @ 94kg. Been working out based on the stronglifts 5x5 program on Mon, Weds and Fri. In addition to that, I do HIIT on bikes on Tues, Thurs and Sat. Sunday is my off day.

Breakfast (8am): 8 tablespoon of oats + 2 tablespoon of pure honey, 1 scoop of whey + 6oz of milk, 1 banana
Brunch (11am): 1 whole egg + 1 egg white
Lunch (1pm): chap fan with stir fried veggies, stir fried chicken and tofu without rice at all
Afternoon snack (4pm): Wholemeal bread sandwich (which contains fresh tomatoes, lettuce and onion, 120g of chicken breast and low fat cheese)

-------------------------------------------------Workout @ (6pm-7.30pm)------------------------------------------------

Post Workout (7.30pm): 1 1/2 scoops of whey (approx 30g protein) + 22g of dextrose
Dinner (8.15pm): 1/2 cup of rice with stir fried veggies, stir fried chicken and tofu, 2 banana
Supper (11pm): 8oz of low fat milk + 2 egg whites

-------------------------------------------------------Bedtime @ 12am------------------------------------------------------
So what do you guys think about my diet? I need some comments here.
Thx! notworthy.gif

my comments:
breakfast looks really heavy to me....i will ditch the milk and banana, too much carbs adi
11 am: i will put the banana here instead
1pm: i will put the rice in your dinner here instead
4pm: ditch the bread....
8:15pm: ditch the rice and ditch the banana for pre workout

just my 2 cents...
btw are u cutting? bulking?
u have carbs 8am,4pm,8:15pm and 11pm....i will recommend you to have carbs only in the morning/preworkout
