Anyone here pay car loan using OCBC TMC??

nobody can pay a loan using a loan.
credit card is a type of loan.
just like you can't pay a cc balance using another cc.

I look the T&C for OCBC:

The Contest is open to anyone who is eligible to hold any credit card issued by OCBC,
according to OCBC’s assessment criteria, at OCBC’s sole and absolute discretion.
However, anyone who currently holds an OCBC credit card, or who has held an OCBC
credit card any time within 12 months immediately preceding the Contest Period[SIZE=1][SIZE=7][COLOR=blue], is
disqualified from participation in this Contest. A person who is eligible and not
disqualified is referred to as an “Eligible Participant”.

i think he meant that if we cancel the ocbc titanium now, when the next ocbc promotion/contest comes, we may be eligible for it when we apply as a new member. rolleyes.gif

New Customers mean applicants who have not held the bank Credit Card, whether as principal or supplementary cardholder, within the past 6 months or some bank credit card is 12 months before re-apply

yes, 12 months to be exact as per ocbc t&c for the contest.
that's why he asked to cancel earlier to be eligible for the next promotion/contest (12 months later).

Just spoke to Customer Service and GST waiver will be abolished effective 29 Nov 2013, together with 5% rebate. In short, you have to pay RM50 GST whether or not you hit RM10k in spendings yearly sad.gif.

maybe should 'upgrade' this titanium card to the world card as a big purchase backup, 0.2% is better than nothing haha

yes, there is no annual fee for titanium but rm388 for world (2nd year onwards).
maybe your 0.2% saving also not enough to cover the rm388... whistling.gif

crap, overlooked that part.

then i guess its only good for the first year, but even the GST for the titanium is kinda hard to earn back via cash rebates alone.
