i think 5 minutes is considered long enough for me, if someone keep talking to persuade me to maintain a cc.  vmad.gif
and you bear with the cs for more 20 minutes?!  blink.gif

unless you are interested to hear what the cs is going to offer you to maintain your cc?  drool.gif
or you were attracted to her beautiful voice?  brows.gif
*
the cs just offer to waive the GST without any swipe and offer me other cards such as Wise or Mach.....

i think he meant that if we cancel the ocbc titanium now, when the next ocbc promotion/contest comes, we may be eligible for it when we apply as a new member.  rolleyes.gif

New Customers mean applicants who have not held the bank Credit Card, whether as principal or supplementary cardholder, within the past 6 months or some bank credit card is 12 months before re-apply

I just applied past few months and many things changed.
1. 5% to 1%
2. 10k GST waiver gone.
3. KLIA lounge access if charge 3k gone.

These are the "features" mentioned in the e-mail they sent to me previously.

Worst still, they don't bother to inform you about the changes.  vmad.gif
*
ya, never inform via SMS or email about the changes, just publish the changes in their website silently

So 1% on total spending, and no more capping like RM50 cashback max per month?

What if i buy something like 6k in total in 1 month, do i get 6000 x 1% = Rm60 cashback or just RM50 max?
*
no cap already....just like HLB essential

Today already email the form to change autopay from ocbc to amex for TM & Celcom.
Will do for Digi but need to go to Centre.

I think most of us got the letter last year for offer 2nd card, platinum, 0.5%.
Called to CS whether can waive the GST, she said no more spend RM10k per year then able to waive...
Now slowly switch the autopay to MBB2 Amex or Visa, after that will cancel this Titanium

definitely will cancel after 1st year if they are going to charge me RM388 for the annual fee
*
If we need to pay RM50 for GST, i personally think that it is not worth as we need spend RM5000 with the only 1% rebate. What we got is to pay for GST only.

for tm, you can use m2u to pay on weekends (5%), so no need do autopay for that.  brows.gif

I'm using phone line + streamyx, each got RM2 rebate.
Thus, every month i got RM4 rebate per statement

i mean let's say if the total of your bills is rm100, 5% of rm100 is rm5 (which is more than rm4 tm rebate for autopay).
so it will be better to pay via m2u during weekends (unless your total bill is less than rm80).
*
Thanks. Ya, my bills normally less than RM80

You should hv give them a try man. My gst credited in Feb, I called in to request for annual bonus. The general answer by them would be a "NO". I said ok, can you help me submit an appeal since I have spent more than the requirement to be entitled for the bonus. Guess what, I got the bonus today. smile.gif

They did mention that appeal would be considered on a case by case basis.

last week i also called to ocbc, the cs quite nice & helpful, but can't waive the gst although spent more than RM10k
