just checked my statement, have 3 entries of cashback, one 5% and two 1% entries, kinda confusing cause for the life of me I can't get how they calculate and came up with the two 1% amounts at all

I received cash bonus rebate RM50 and 5% cash rebate rm50 = total rm100
As I know cash bonus is given yearly but i don't know how it is calculated, last year my cash bonus rebate just RM4.90
*
i also received that as well..i thought this 1 is the cash bonus rebate RM50 for our assesment payment that more than 2k previously? Correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes you are right. The cash bonus rebate of RM50 is for their promo back in August till October this year where you need to pay your bills thru OCBC online banking with cumulative amount of RM2,000.

same here. just saw mine too
maybe currently they had just implemented the 1% cash back and previously was 5% and 1%.

so they divided it to 5% and 1% for those before 29nov
and after 29% is compile it into another 1%

just my 2cent

Just saw my statement, they charged me RM 50 for GST...
Previously I called the CS and they say I am entitled for GST waiver due to exceeded their annual usage limit 10k.
However, this valid until 29 Nov but my CC anniversary is on 11 DEC..

Called to CS and the CS said try help me to waive this one..

Ahh I see, that makes sense then, but the calculations still are wrong though, all my transactions are before the 29th.

and yet, there's still a substantial amount of 1% cashback on a few transactions I suspect are between the 27th to 29th. But the cash back amounts really are depressing though lol

Those transactions posted on 29 Nov 2013 (but swiped before 29-Nov-2013) will be under 1% Cash Back.

To those who intend to cut this card, you better think twice because only the 5% category limited to RM50 is gone and it can be replaced by WISE card or MBB2Amex. Now you get even better benefit, unlimited 1% cash back.
Unless you already have WATAMI card or you don't spend much on credit card.

OCBC just call me up to talk about the cancellation I made previously. The try to counter offer with OCBC Platinum (0.5% rebate and above RM1000, it will convert automatically to 0% instalment.)

I try to negotiate if they cash in RM50 for the govt tax, I will continue since I already spend about RM20k swipe in last year.

The agent still refuse to waive the govt tax. End up the terminate the OCBC titanium permanently. I also moving my autobilling for telecommunication to UOB OneCard as it have 2% rebate. The rest goes to HLB Essential for 1%.

Hopefully sooner will have some other bank with great offer again.

UOB ONE got 2% on telco? I tot online transaction for this card only 0.3%?

before, spend rm1k = rm50 rebate
now, spend rm1k = rm10 rebate

there are better card options to chose from for rebates. im cutting mine before the annual fee kicks in and applying citi or UOB

still not worth to me. only worth for a person who spend above 5k

I am transferring my maxis payment to MACH card today to take advantage of the 3% cashback. But even this, the actual value is in fact 3% - RM5 (quarterly fees). However, my bill quarterly is only about RM300, which makes the effective cashback, (300*0.03)-5=RM4, which is about 1.3% cashback only. laugh.gif

due december means already charged or not? if already charged, please call ocbc cs and ask them to absorb it (if you have already spent rm10k or more with the card). if you were successfully offsetting the rm50 gst, then let us know...  tongue.gif then many will do the same too. biggrin.gif

I walked in OCBC and asked if the GST can be waived, the answer is no. My annual spending of this card is around RM33k this year, maybe OCBC want to retain high networth person only, which i am not one. Tata OCBC !! been good to know you. laugh.gif
