I have a few questions here.

1) On the Saturday I received my 2 cards, I spent on a dinner costing RM50++ and linking it to Paypal which costs 1 USD. I was alerted by Maybank SMS for both transaction but on Sunday I spent up to RM215 in one transaction and another RM75 but did not receive any SMS notification, is that normal?

2) I was told that my cc billing cycle is on 6th every month, does it mean that I can already pay the bill on 6th itself and before 26th to avoid any interest charges?

3) Is it possible to pay my AMEX card bill with CIMB Clicks? I have searched around and found that Clicks transaction page only allows you to enter 16-digit credit card numbers and AMEX only comes with 15?

1) For online transaction, you'll be alerted. For offline transaction, you'll not be alerted unless the amount exceeds the default number which I believe to be RM 500.

2) Pay by statement due date to avoid interests. Buffer for processing time if you use IBG, GIRO and cheques.

I experienced this on another card paying for a movie ticket. I called TGV CS and they reverse the charge after I provided proof of purchase. I think its faster if you go to GNC side and ask them to reverse the charge rather then wait for the bank to investigate. Assuming it is GNC fault of course....

I remember I have reported this issued to card center before, and they (bank) need to check with that machine (shop), probably will need to take some time to investigate, in the same time there will be charge you admin fee right? Do you charge by bank??

how much is it already? I cannot recall the amount.

times like this it's best to get the transaction SMS alert so you will know that you are double charged and can rectify on the spot

just wondering i have a card with rm15k limit, but i want to buy a rm40k item to swipe card, cause its not safe to carry that much cash to the shop. just wondering if maybank allows to "open" my card for that amount, so I can swipe the rm40k and then later bank deposit to mbb credit card ??

you may try to call and ask for temporary increment of your credit limit.

Last time, this request needs to fill a form.

Now they allow to do it via CS?

there is few option you could use here:

1. Use cheque instead of credit card
2. Ask for temporary credit increase via call to customer service
3. Deposit the money directly into credit card so you have credit 40k

Hi guys, just got my AMEX and Mastercard.

I've got a question regarding my AMEX card.

1) Regarding
QUOTE
21. To earn the 5% cash back, TRANSACTION DATE shown in M2U or statement must be on weekend (Sat/Sun), posting date does not matter.
22. The 5% Cash Back payout MONTH is subjected to POSTING DATE not transaction date. You will always get the cash back on the 1st day of the following month straight after the POSTING DATE. Here's a detail example by ronnie

How does this work ? Does it depend on our monthly statement or by month? If say someone's billing statement is from 15th to 15th of each month, how does it work?

temporary/emergency credit increase can be done via CS..
the CS did ask the company name/shop before allowed..
so i guess the temporary increase onli specific to that company/shop only..

Okay.

So say I get my statement on every 15th. So that does NOT affect the Monthly Cash Rebate ?

Example,

Statement from Jan 15th to Feb 15th. Cash Back for the whole of Jan (RM50) will be accounted for on the 1st or 2nd of February?
