the reaper can do 2.7v.. crazy ddr2 there..

Yeah, I thought of buying from the US too. However, would be difficult to RMA if any problems.

There was once when one computer vendor was selling the corsair dominator 2x1gb PC6400 (i think, can't remember) for <RM400 due to incredible rebate! Didn't have time to get that as it was only for a short period of time!!!

Of course, to enjoy the rebate, you need somebody living there....

Edit : I know, I know, somebody is going to say corsair dominator is lousy. But what I'm saying is that you can get some parts for damn cheap!

still you're spending like more than rm300 to get ram. if my budget is really limiting me, then i would go for corsair lar, but if not, i rather spend more and get better rams.. extra rm100 can get super good rams already...

Just get good chip ram then use active cooling is more reasonable. Getting 4 figure ram like dominator, even they say handpicked doesnt mean can go beyond DDR2 limitation. Such a waste..

Anyways, tested 2 sticks of KVR ddr2 667 , Kingston chips. Hit ddr2 1040 5-6-6-15 @ 2.2v. Pretty decent.

hehe... that ocz reaper looks perfectly on my aw9d-max... all black heat sink with heat pipe... the red 1, i'm planning for abit f-190hd matx... with 2600xt but dunno lar if the i'll continue with that... the platinium 1 oso very nice but u might get a lot of fingerprints on them...

Pretty decent? Thought value 667 to reach ddr2 1000 already wonderfull.

it's decent so to speak, in a good way. Btw's I'm planning to do some database test on any value rams, i hope you guys , the good hearted ones can 'loan' me some sticks to test it on.

Very nice idea, but maybe a little difficult to get the 'loan' ram. Anyway, u can try all ur value ram 1st or borrow from ur friend and post the result.
