try to download the file in .mp4, then transfer it to your Z1...see whether still grainy or not
make sure the mp4 file is directly from youtube with 1080p...

Some of the dock the slot is a very tight fit n you cannot easily lift it out with finger. Mine 2 units were like that. After first time taken out than subsequently can lift up easier

my video all were downloaded from youtube with 1080p in .mp4 format. those MP4 looks fine in my other devices..

checked probably whether it's true 1080p ,if u got installed custom codec pack(like k-lite mega) in ur PC u should able to check out directly on ur PC by using mediainfo

ok, will try turn off.

i use tubemate to select download 1080p video.

Seem like X-reality is the culprit for the grainy video...

when i turn off, the video is very sharp and fine.

When x-reality on, the process try to enhance the contrast, so when the object is small in the video, the edge(lines) seem to be blur, not sharp. but when display large object, it is fine.

X-reality give a more "3d" feel due to the better contrast~~~~

Tasks App v1.0.A.0.1 OTA update..
wonder what it does.

It adds a new app called "Tasks" to your phone which allow you to sync with Task in Microsoft Exchange server

Obviously ... if you don't have MS Exchange, then you can manually add your own Task to the list. It's almost like Reminders in iOS

Been using Z1 for a day now after successfully 'cut-over' from my GN2. Battery life is as good as GN2 IMO. Running for 24 hours uncharged and still left 10%, with 3G on and browsing FB, twitter, instagram etc. Feels very snappy and overall response is real fast.. Using Niikin SP and case and it feels great.. And waiting for my magnetic charging cables to arrive..

It does heat up faster than GN2, and I do feel the 'hole' which the indicator light is located could be a potential 'dust collector' if constantly put inside the pocket. Yes, mine is a 'lemon' device but its not a big fuzz to me which many forumers were hotly talking about this in the previous thread. As for camera, I think needs some time to play around with it as it is not so useful for noobies (tried a simple shot at night with auto setting and lots of 'noise' occur). Wish the magnetic dock cable could be longer as it cant reach to the power socket.

Woopss.. I think i mentioned more 'cons' and 'pros'. haha.. But seriously speaking I am quite happy with the phone now. Being a Sam user from S2 to GN2, it was a good platform change after all. If there is a wishlist I could put, I wish Sony will solve the 'lemon' problem, then I would be a serious happy camper.
