QUOTE(FuNks @ Oct 11 2013, 09:28 PM) Is there any settings for video viewing? that the exact 1st question i wanted to ask, my 1080p video looks like 480p video in Z1 but was perfectly sharp and fine in my other 2 phone. even n a QhD moto Razr.Mine looks grainy on YouTube even I watch the 1080p. But strangely the smurf trailer built in looked amazingly clear. |

QUOTE(keretapir @ Oct 11 2013, 10:32 PM) quite a hassle, but worth the try my video all were downloaded from youtube with 1080p in .mp4 format. those MP4 looks fine in my other devices..try to download the file in .mp4, then transfer it to your Z1...see whether still grainy or not make sure the mp4 file is directly from youtube with 1080p... keepvid.com is quite handy i think |

Seem like X-reality is the culprit for the grainy video...
when i turn off, the video is very sharp and fine. When x-reality on, the process try to enhance the contrast, so when the object is small in the video, the edge(lines) seem to be blur, not sharp. but when display large object, it is fine. X-reality give a more "3d" feel due to the better contrast~~~~ This post has been edited by choonwai11: Oct 11 2013, 11:40 PM |

for those who cant stand the warm hue(yellow tint), can try "screen adjuster" from play store, can adjust blue abit so that get white screen.

QUOTE(speedfamgirl @ Oct 14 2013, 09:35 AM) oh sorry missed out that part. no i'm not showing off...this is obviously Z1 thread & i dont see anything anything showing off over here (this is stock phone with stock ROM) i'm just reporting my usage as a new owner. no no, i nv said you show off, just for sharing is good for members screen on time (where to see this?) 3g on daytime, wifi on night time (screenshot during wifi time) screen brightness 50% what else that i missed? primary usage of course photo taking & facebooking. no music/video play, no games installed yet. u click into the screen in the battery usage then u can see the screen on time. |

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Oct 15 2013, 02:49 PM) yesterday I went out for whole day so usually just rely on mobile data sony really did a good job on stamina mode in standby time. here's the batt life with stamina mode on, whatsapp excluded ![]() ![]() definitely better than my S3. my S3 won't last a whole day outside with mobile data and still have spare to last another night but what really matters is the screen on time, what the use to have good battery life when the phone sleeping all the time? from my test, Z1(3000mah) only on par or slightly better compareto my previous HTC one (2300mah), Screen on time around 3.5~4hrs with 3g data on 100%. and my colleague note 2 can hit up to 5hrs screen on time at times with only 3100mah in the same condition. this is wer the Amoled show the energy saving power compare to traditional TFT. |

Then i connect my phone with pressing the vol down. But the flashtool not able to search my phone. Is there anything i miss out? or anything not right? For you info, my phone is totally dead, no LED light, no screen Need HELP pls... Thx and really appreciate. 1. only for unlock bootloader device. 2.
