Z1 is not mini, Z1 is standard size phone. 5" for some user still really big.

Mini shall in between 4.3"

5" is pretty standard size.. Not yet in phablet category.. 5.5" when it start to be big. Imo for a 5" phone, there is no need for a mini version.. Rather actually they want to produce a cheaper version, that's the point. As we can see on S3 and S4 mini, not only the screen smaller, but also the overall spec is much lower. Should call it the cheap version instead of mini.

After reading this thread I feel glad that I bought Note 3. So many complaint already on Z1.

I just test.  it is as horrible as digital zoom.  I rather shoot at 20mp and manually crop

how do i revert back after i press "always". my note2 i've done it, but then i cant find anywhere to revert it back~

Setting > App > All, there's an app named xperia home.. it's still running even if u hv chose other launcher as default..
look for the launcher and tap clear default..

might be... what I can see some review biased towards some brands... sites review should be use as the basis of your selection... to know details on specs... but for actual performance... should be checking with actual usage from actual users...
Example the photo... I do see pictures uploaded by Z1 users here gives a good quality pictures... maybe N3 is better but for some reason I don't like Samsung... and for nokia... will only consider them if its running on android...

if asking for more... better get Sony Nex / dslr...

regarding yellowish issues.
i went MV/Gardens , 2 sony centres.
the curve / ecurve, 2 sony centres.
lowyat sony centres and some dealers.

all sets are yellowish.

from my experience, i opened up almost 5x of z1 of each branches.
ALL yellowish compared to some of the white screen demo units.

the curve sony centre has good service, 7 of their employees tried to solve my problem. YES SEVEN !

my verdict, all later batch are yellow but better viewing angles.
when u look straight to the phone, when its white, confirm side view will be yellow.
for straight up yellowish, side see will be white and clearer.
i spent 2days for this adventure hahaha.

but dont worry, the triluminous display color can be adjusted via updates or maybe custom kernels, or i'll find back that guy who told me so

as expected he use 20MP to shoot in Z1 resulting the heavy digital noise when cropped (the sample 2)

maybe not so popular in the internet, but in real world i can see Sony user grows from time to time, lot of my colleague also already using Xperia Z when I'm still stuck with Note 2 previously.    Heck even this Xperia Z1 thread also is moving fast competing with the N3.
But i too was hoping Maxis can make it cheaper. haha. pray bro pray
