My shrimps has been ignoring pellet food for more than a month already. That's why I'm asked. It seems that they're surviving on nothing.
*
not nothing, they feed on bio-film and algae in the tank, those jelly/slime like stuff on the glass/stuff is bio-film. All this are natural food for them.
What pellets you feed them ? taiwan should have alot of shrimp food available, like azoo brand.

I did that before as I thought there was too much crap in my tank but after couple rounds of spring cleaning and gradual water changes, they still not eating pellet food.

My tank is severely under populated though. Only 4 cherries for 11 liter.

ahhaha, 4 cherry only of course no appetite , shrimps like human, have to live in group , just 4 will stress them out.
Don't always go for red, try some orange or yellow fire shrimps.

i keep 40-50 rili + 8 or more rabbit snail in a 18L cube tank. you need more tenants in 11L tank.
Or get some small fish like dwarf rasbora or boraras Brigitte in there, will look nice in office tank.

guys, did a recent water change, its been about a week. Noticed that the shrimps are moving around rather actively. Only the males mostly, is it mating season or something wrong with my parameters?

Damselfly & Dragonfly will eat adult shrimp or just baby shrimp?
*
I had it before. U need to watch them closely and shake them off from leaves etc...and they swim so fast. Get ready with the net to catch.

try feed to bigger fish if you have like oscar, aro or bichir?

these fishes feed on shrimps. they kiss all them goodbye.

i brought small shrimps & bloodworms  for them to feast. they like it so much.
*
Shrimp eats bloodworms? I tried but they ignore cause worms never stop moving.
