Hi all, I've read through some similar salary range and found most of you recommending the UOB cc and MBB 2 cards. I'm hoping to apply for the MBB card but my annual income isn't there yet, however I have an account at Maybank and have been inserting FD almost every month, would it be possible for the bank to accept me?

Thanks all!

Not Sure pun but U can try to ask Maybank... hmm.gif

Yes, It is possible provided you pledge FD with them. 2 weeks ago my nephew applied that way and got approved. And his salary is RM1500 so you stand a good chance if you are willing to pledge.

just wondering, for purely insurance payment... if within 3 months doesnt exceed RM3k (e.g RM600/mth or RM1.8k/qtr), any suggestion what card can give better benefits?

so far that i can think of, only OCBC's Mastercard unlimited 1% cashback is the best universal card without AF or spending criteria.

other spending, e.g. petrol/groceries/mobile/etc already covered by most popular cards.

if i have a rm600/month or rm1.8k/quarter insurance, i would still go for aeon watami. bcs with the rm1.8k/quarter, i just need another rm1.2k/quarter to be qualified for the 3%. the extra rm1.2k/quarter can easily be attained with dining, car service, car insurance, clinic, pharmacy, furniture, etc.
