Income of 24k does it include bonus as I dun earn 2k a mth without overtime n meal allowance...please advise. I applied but the guy from da bank say it'll take 2 weeks...n I wanna check tomorrow but its only a week...working in a public listed company....does it help?

if you have ea form, you may attach as supporting to prove you earned more than rm24k a year. yes, working in a public listed company is an advantage.

Bank only take FIXED allowance into considerations, overtime does not count as fixed allowances, not everyday you're working OT so bank doesn't put into account in all these allowance.

But wht abt bonus if u hv contractual bonus n ot every mth...but I only submitted 3 mths payslips as thts da requirements?

you need to attach it when applying. actually not needed but just an additional supporting documents. as for public listed company, unless you are working in a subsidiary company, otherwise your company has berhad at the back, which is an advantage when applying.

been reading few months now in this card subforum, still cant decide (for now) the better complement for mbb2cards AMEX.

Purpose: Searching for Visa/Mastercard for retails not accepting AMEX.

1. Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes
3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate Only
4. Existing credit cards if any: Maybankard 2 Cards Gold
5. Looking at CC from: Any cards that give better than 1X TP from mbb2card Visa.

6. Others:

-- Monthly spending <RM1K (average RM500-600, inclusive petrol of ~RM200). Non-frequent dining out (usually kopitiam tongue.gif)
-- No problem using AMEX on weekends for petrol, Unifi, Tesco, Paypal (US retailer).
-- Possibility to waive RM50 GST, by points or waiver.
-- So far, OCBC Ti is OK for general use. No GST waiver is turning me off smile.gif

thanks!

with your low monthly expenses, i think it's good enough to use only mbb2cards so that you won't incur another gst for the new cc. 1x tp from mbb2visa/master equals 0.4% which is also better than the 1% ocbc tmc when the gst kicks in (for your case). because the gst for mbb2visa/master is combined with mbb2amex so there is no additional cost for you to bear.

in a year, averaging <1K per month.

i recently swiped 2.5K using mbb2card visa (amex not accepted by the merchant), hence was considering a 2nd card for such "big" purchases. sweat.gif

i foresee 2-3 more such transactions (~2K per swipe) within this year.

if that's the case, you can go for aeon watami cc. 3% quarterly rebate capped at rm150 per quarter. but one of the requirement is that you need to swipe minimum rm3k per quarter to qualify for the 3% quarterly rebate. it can be any transaction except for petrol.

since you were using your ocbc each time you amex got rejected i think you have some idea and can calculate if you can hit the 3k every quarter, anyway this is a good card too when you have maxed out your amex rebate
((3% better than 2%(5xTP))

i only have mbb2card gold (amex+visa). that's it. cool2.gif since the introduction of GST, i've been avoiding getting 2nd/3rd card (banks) to spread and optimize my spending/cashbacks.

chances are, i wont be hitting even 1K spending per month, let alone every quarter biggrin.gif

only on certain occasion i hit high spending, eg car accessories (definitely wont accept amex), computer parts, and upcoming insurance.

if i can foresee consistent >1K spending per month, Aeon Watami is a better choice. next would be OCBC TMC.

thanks for the feedback! thumbup.gif
