You can make a formal complaint to BNM if u wish to.  BNM has made it clear that there is to be NO more pre-approved products.  Banks are not allowed to offer any products that customer did not apply for.

If i made a report, will it bring any negative consequence to my ambank car loan? Just don't wish to get into any trouble after making the report.

Malaysians are generally very polite people who do not want to cause trouble. Objectively speaking, AmBank cannot take penalise your Car HP if u make a complaint for the Credit Card issue as they are separate matters. Your Car HP is governed bu your HP Agreement, so long as pay on time, Am Bank cannot do anything else its a basis for another complaint.

Whether u want to make a formal complaint to BNM is up to you. Some may say, just complaint to Am Bank, make sure they reverse the charge and check with CCRIS at BNM to make sure its not reported that u missed / owe Am bank the RM50 GST.

But if the CCRIS Reports shows that u owe Am Bank the RM50 (your account will be in Arrears), then u definitely should make an official complain to to BNM as it affects your credit history.

No need. Normal case just call will do but in your case, slightly more complicated. Better for you to to write Letter and then fax to their Customer Service.

You will need this Letter as a Record if u want to make complain to BNM in the future.

to check CCRIS, go to the nearest BNM Office, insert My Kad into the CCRIS Machine and a list of all your Loans including Credit Cards will come out.

If AmBank have not cancelled your CC and reverse back the RM50 charge, it may be refelectyed that u owe AmBank RM50 and your Account will show MIA (Months in Arrears).

Don't worry yet, just cancel the card first. Then in 6-mths go to BNM Office.

In fact, all Borrowers should make the effort to print out their CCRIS Report once a year to make sure that their identity has not been stolen to apply for loans.

you need to cancel the card. Else, it will appear in CCRIS that u owe AmBank and this will have an ADVERSE impact to all your future Credit / Loan applications.

The CCRIS should be updated on a monthly basis. So, if its reported as outstanding, if u cancel, it will only be updated the following month.

would appreciate some advice/recommendation for most suitable CC.

1. Annual Income: >80K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: good to have

3. Card required for: lodging primarily

4. Existing credit cards if any: None (holding debit card currently)

5. Looking at CC from: any reputable bank

I cancelled all of my credit cards couple of years back but i've recently moved to another sector which requires me to travel frequently local and sometimes abroad. Flight usually paid by company but lodging will be reimbursed later.

Any suggestion? tq

Maybank2Kard Amex - 5% rebate on weekend (Cashback capped at RM50/month) and 5X Treat Points on any spending, also has 7% rebate for booking on Agoda. Do note that Amex exchange rate would be higher than visa/master.

Aeon Watami - 3% rebate with minimum 3k spending every 3 months, max RM5k spending (Capped Rm150 cash back every 3 months)

Alliance Platinum Cashback - Tier based cash back, i like this card because it offers unlimited complimentary entry to KLIA premium plaza lounge. Easy to maintain as they waive annual fee with 12 swipe / annum.

Hmm. Interestingly I have a similar "needs" as K-o-E. I'm still considering my option since I think Citibank Platinum may also be in this category. Yes, they don't actually state that they'd waive the annual fee (not like the 12 swipe/year of Alliance Platinum). The Citibank Platinum also offers free entry to KLIA Lounge, tho I'm not sure until when. The plus point is probably the 5x points program in participating stores. smile.gif

I was also in contact with an HSBC representative about HSBC Visa Signature, which has KLIA Lounge free entry (limited to 15,000-ish elligible customer from 1 January 2013 - 31 December 2014). The rep said that to waive the annual fee, I can just make a phone call. This card has 10x/8x/5x points program, but only until March 2014. After considering it, I eventually cancelled. tongue.gif

Currently I'm 70-30 with tendency to go for the Alliance Platinum. nod.gif

Two Cards may be suitable for you:

First - If you can plan your spending to coincide on Weekends

Maybank2Card

Get 2 cards - Amex with Visa or Master
Free AF for Life - no conditions
Pay GST for 1 Card only

For Amex - 5% Cash Back on Weekends + 5x Treat Points (including weekdays)
For Visa / Master - No Cash Back + 1x Treat Points only

http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...sonal/CRD-Cards

Second - If you cannot plan your spending to coincide on Weekends

AEON Watami Card

- Get 3% Cash Back every Quarter, subject to minimum cumulative spend of RM3,000 and capped at RM5,000 spending. So, u can get cash back up to RM150 if u spend cumulative of RM5,000 per quarter. But, you MUST spend at least RM3K every quarter, else ZERO Cash Back

- Get additional Treat Points equal to 0.40% Cash Back

- AF Waiver with 12x swipes per year
- Special Promotion as follows:
- Double Reward Points at AEON Stores when u charge on 10th of every month
- 5% Cash Back when u charge at AEON Stores on 20th of every month
- 5% Cash Back when u charge at AEON BIG on 28th of every month
- 5% Cash Back for Petrol when u charge at Last Sunday of every month

http://www.aeonmalaysia.com.my/acs/af/kona...814#page=page-1

Cons with AEON is when u want to pay to AEON, its not as smooth as its not a Bank. Check the AEON tread for more details.

Btw, for someone earning RM5K and not having any CC, either you're a superstar fresh Grad or you're really Cash Rich.

OIC, you applied online, I am surprised it is still not in their system. But since you do go to the movies every week, worthwhile to wait and even resubmit the necessary documents if so required.

If not mistaken, only Premier cards like Visa Signature or World MasterCard/Visa Infinite can be issued "on the spot" at Sunway. And since I am a nice guy, I am going to give you link to my article created to cater for your request tongue.gif

Click here to read my article One Day Approval for CIMB Premier Credit Cards and Maybaybank 2 Cards.. In this previous article, you will find CIMB Card Centre at Pyramid and Maybankard Centre at 1U contact numbers. Call the CIMB Sunway Centre for more info and go early to 1U to apply for the Maybankard 2 Cards where you will get the cards in 2 hours or less (call them and ask what docs they need).
