1. Annual Income: RM100K to RM150K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: No

3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate, AirMiles, Overseas Transactions

4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil

5. Looking at CC from: HSBC Amanah or CIMB

6. Others: Foreigner residing in KL. I'll use the card mostly for weekly/monthly groceries and online shopping/booking. From CIMB website, I'm wavering between Enrich or Cash Rebate card. From HSBC, I don't really have an idea even after browsing the website.

Advice and opinion are mostly welcome. Thank you beforehand. nod.gif

I don't want the hassle of opening another bank account, since I already have CIMB and HSBC. Just knew that CIMB imposes fixed deposits with their credit cards for foreigners. If only I knew it before, I might not open an account with them. sweat.gif

Do you have any other suggestions for cards with good air miles for foreigners with approximately RM100k annual income like me? Thank you beforehand. notworthy.gif

1. Annual Income: > 100k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: No

3. Card required for: AirMiles (Travel), Airport Lounges
4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil

5. Looking at CC from: Citibank - Premier Miles

6. Others: I'm a foreigner. I'm looking at Citi PremierMiles AmEx, but then I know that AmEx is not as versatile as Visa or Mastercard. I also prefer not having to open a bank account. CIMB Enrich cards would also be out of question since it requires a stupid amount of fixed deposit.

YES! Go get Maybankard 2 Cards and you must at least read Page 1 of the Maybankard 2 Thread.

Hey Bro, if I only got two choice left between Alliance Platinum or Citibank Platinum (not the Rewards Platinum), which one do you think I should have? I know both have Enrich miles conversion program and allows me to use the airport lounge in KLIA. hmm.gif

would appreciate some advice/recommendation for most suitable CC.

1. Annual Income: >80K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: good to have

3. Card required for: lodging primarily

4. Existing credit cards if any: None (holding debit card currently)

5. Looking at CC from: any reputable bank
I cancelled all of my credit cards couple of years back but i've recently moved to another sector which requires me to travel frequently local and sometimes abroad. Flight usually paid by company but lodging will be reimbursed later.

Any suggestion? tq

Maybank2Kard Amex - 5% rebate on weekend (Cashback capped at RM50/month) and 5X Treat Points on any spending, also has 7% rebate for booking on Agoda. Do note that Amex exchange rate would be higher than visa/master.

Aeon Watami - 3% rebate with minimum 3k spending every 3 months, max RM5k spending (Capped Rm150 cash back every 3 months)

Alliance Platinum Cashback - Tier based cash back, i like this card because it offers unlimited complimentary entry to KLIA premium plaza lounge. Easy to maintain as they waive annual fee with 12 swipe / annum.

Hmm. Interestingly I have a similar "needs" as K-o-E. I'm still considering my option since I think Citibank Platinum may also be in this category. Yes, they don't actually state that they'd waive the annual fee (not like the 12 swipe/year of Alliance Platinum). The Citibank Platinum also offers free entry to KLIA Lounge, tho I'm not sure until when. The plus point is probably the 5x points program in participating stores. smile.gif

I was also in contact with an HSBC representative about HSBC Visa Signature, which has KLIA Lounge free entry (limited to 15,000-ish elligible customer from 1 January 2013 - 31 December 2014). The rep said that to waive the annual fee, I can just make a phone call. This card has 10x/8x/5x points program, but only until March 2014. After considering it, I eventually cancelled. tongue.gif

Currently I'm 70-30 with tendency to go for the Alliance Platinum. nod.gif
