Just call AmBank to cancel the Card as u never applied for it and u will not be bearing the RM50 GST.

To be sure, just drop by BNM after say 3-mths to get the CCRIS Report to make sure its not reported as still owing by you later.

I suspect they slip in the cc application form in the car loan application form and i signed it without any notice. Is it to legal they do it this way?

You can make a formal complaint to BNM if u wish to.  BNM has made it clear that there is to be NO more pre-approved products.  Banks are not allowed to offer any products that customer did not apply for.

If i made a report, will it bring any negative consequence to my ambank car loan? Just don't wish to get into any trouble after making the report.

Malaysians are generally very polite people who do not want to cause trouble.  Objectively speaking, AmBank cannot take penalise your Car HP if u make a complaint for the Credit Card issue as they are separate matters.  Your Car HP is governed bu your HP Agreement, so long as pay on time, Am Bank cannot do anything else its a basis for another complaint.

Whether u want to make a formal complaint to BNM is up to you. Some may say, just complaint to Am Bank, make sure they reverse the charge and check with CCRIS at BNM to make sure its not reported that u missed / owe Am bank the RM50 GST.

But if the CCRIS Reports shows that u owe Am Bank the RM50 (your account will be in Arrears), then u definitely should make an official complain to to BNM as it affects your credit history.

Thanks for the clarification, do i need to personally visit ambank branch to cancel my cc?

No need. Normal case just call will do but in your case, slightly more complicated.  Better for you to to write Letter and then fax to their Customer Service.

You will need this Letter as a Record if u want to make complain to BNM in the future.

If i dun complain, just call will do right? then what i need to do if i checked CCRIS, and ambank claimed that i owe them the rm50 tax next time.

to check CCRIS, go to the nearest BNM Office, insert My Kad into the CCRIS Machine and a list of all your Loans including Credit Cards will come out.

If AmBank have not cancelled your CC and reverse back the RM50 charge, it may be refelectyed that u owe AmBank RM50 and your Account will show MIA (Months in Arrears).

Don't worry yet, just cancel the card first. Then in 6-mths go to BNM Office.

In fact, all Borrowers should make the effort to print out their CCRIS Report once a year to make sure that their identity has not been stolen to apply for loans.

I have not pay the rm50 actually, but i got ambank sms to urge me pay it. I just ignore

you need to cancel the card. Else, it will appear in CCRIS that u owe AmBank and this will have an ADVERSE impact to all your future Credit / Loan applications.
