QUOTE(don^don @ Jun 26 2016, 07:51 PM) any silver metallic jazz owners here? can show me a photo of your car? coz i went to the stockyard to pick my color yesterday, and i tot the silver metallic would look like vios silver, but NO its dark silver! some angle looks abit green some angle looks abit black... wtf? did i see wrong? is there no light silver color in malaysia? Actually the modern metallic and tinted silver are quite similar. It looks more like dark greyish and light greyish in real life rather than silverish to me. But, like someone else said. Different eyes, different view.Light silver is not really that nice looking. Reminds me of Perodua Myvi QUOTE(don^don @ Jun 27 2016, 04:03 PM) Why the hostility? Did I bite u? Weird.. I'm just wondering if the salesman lie to me saying the car at their stockyard is silver but it's actually modern steel. Because the silver shown at their website is bright silver, and I expect the Jazz silver metallic to be the same as the city silver metallic. It is actually not bright silver. Mayne it is just the image. In real life it is more greyish especially in low light conditions. Else, why else would they want to term the color code tinted silver? Makes sense?Never mind I will ask another branch salesperson.. Ps: thanks to those that reply me and show me photos, I guess the silver is abit dark. I just don't want to buy the wrong color and regret that's all.. For me, it is very simple. If you manage to see the car in person. Just point and say you want that color. It is the responsibility of the SA not to show and make the wrong order for you. If ever in doubt, ask and ask again just to make sure. Even better, take a pic of it. If the car turns up wrong either due to the SA being a noob or whatever, you can always tell the SA he got you the wrong one and don't accept it. You are lucky they even allowed you into the stockyard. Blardy hell, when i got mine. I was only given the color palette to choose my color when i asked which btw is just like a small blob of squarish paint of all the available colors and i had to use my imagination on how it would look like on an entire car QUOTE(RevolutionWorks @ Jun 28 2016, 09:48 AM) Anyways, the new carnival red replacing the outgoing replacing sporty blue is actually not bad. I saw one fitted with a bodykit (dun ask me which one) and a set of white rims and it looks sweeeeeeetttttt! Actually, for me the blue is kinda hard to mix and match properly. I hated the red at first but after seeing an example of a nice one. I was convinced. Maybe in stock form it doesn't look that pretty. But, it does improve if it was kitted up. Just my 2 centsThis post has been edited by nm7: Jun 28 2016, 11:22 AM |

QUOTE(haroldz123 @ Jun 27 2016, 11:08 PM) New salesman will say silver or white but experience one will say tinted silver and taffeta white Very seldom see black ones to be frank. I think it doesn't look as good on a Jazz.I oso surprised to see the silver color is darker. I would choose the red color or black color but only tinted silver was available as ready stock. The tafetta white is not bad too but i think generally a lot of people just hate it because of the amount of care you have to put into it. |

QUOTE(don^don @ Jun 27 2016, 06:16 PM) ok, maybe i used a wrong example, if i change that word "vios" to "city" will it be ok to you? my problem is, i saw city with silver metallic and it's light silver to me, i saw online honda website shows a light silver as "silver metallic" and i saw another color "modern steel" as dark silver. but when i'm at the stockyard the salesman show me a dark silver jazz and said "that's the silver jazz, the only silver" and i was skeptical. so i asked here. is there a problem with that? fyi that salesman is near 40 years old with 10 years exp in car sales, previously selling proton then kia then come honda, he got 7 yrs exp in honda, so why would u jump into conclusion that this salesperson just "masuk kerja"? i'm just skeptical because that is the only jazz still available and he MAYBE wanted to quickly push it to us and close the deal instead of waiting for the next shipment. If there is no promo ongoing. There is no point in rushing into a decision la.This is not some uniqlo shirt that you buy today and tomorrow you find that you hate the color and can buy or exchange another one leh. So, do think hard and do some research to see if you really really want the color. Overall, i think the tafetta white, modern steel and tinted silver are not bad in stock form. But, if you were to kit the car out, i think tafetta white, carnival red and tinted silver looks much better if you were to play around with it. |

It's my mum. All her previous cars are bright silver, coz easier to maintain. She die die don't want the white, thought I actually prefer the white or red. Too bad.. Hard to persuade her unless it's my own car. Bcoz when I'm at the stockyard, there are a few city and hrv around that is light silver that's why I'm puzzled and thought the salesman try to trick me. Now I know the silver is dark silver. That solves the mystery..This is not some uniqlo shirt that you buy today and tomorrow you find that you hate the color and can buy or exchange another one leh. I don't think I'll be kitting the car since mum is going to be the main driver. I've seen the white color Mugen version and modulo version and they look great but silver just doesn't seemed nice with kits. |

That solves the mystery.. Actually the silver looks better with kits than the modern metallc for some odd reasons. You just can't get those over the top ones only. The mild looking ones with a set of Silver Enkei RPF1 would be great. I've seen one example so far and i think it is acceptable. Nice but not too flashy.I don't think I'll be kitting the car since mum is going to be the main driver. QUOTE(clcheah @ Jun 28 2016, 04:01 PM) Hi All, Actually. How do you define that it is too low. Problem is, different cars accident will cause damage to different parts of the car.Do you think the bumper of our car is too low and the tailgate can be easily damaged during minor accident. For my case it was moderately hit by Myvi. This time Myvi will bang until like this, next time Pajero bang you also will kena mah no matter how high your trunk is. Isn't it? |

When you look for alternative tires, try to look for their EU Label as well. Gives you a rough idea of the noise level of the tires. It looks like thisAm thinking of changing my stock tyres even though it has only traveled 26k km... I think still got 70% balance threadware It is not 100% accurate because different tire width, profile produces different results. But, it gives you a model by model comparison to get you as close to what you are looking for. If you really have money to burn. I don't see why not, just that it is a bit wasteful even though you can sell it back outside yourself for some money. The most important thing is to take a mental note on how the tires are when they are brand spanking new. So, you know how it changes when the thread depth runs low as that affects the road noise that it generates. 70% is seriously a lot left to go, but it depends highly on how long you had them on the car as well. QUOTE(Eithanius @ Jun 28 2016, 04:27 PM) 26k still got 70%...? You must be a very careful driver... My DRB was dead just short of 25k. Worn them down on the sides until i saw the protective underplies. Blardy hell.I'm hitting 30k, more than 50% gone... And yes, at this point it is very noisy... I read somewhere got GE owner changed to Mich XM2, very quiet... Else, time to soundproof your floor... SIDENOTE: Just did 35k km service and changed driver airbag today... Waited 5 hours at service center... Actually, the most sound i realized coming into the cabin is from the rear spare wheel weld. I bought some 3m thinsulate some months back and before i cut it. I stuffed everything i had into the spare wheel weld and went out for a drive. It did reduced the noise by quite a bit. Anyways, my thinsulate was planned to be used on the doors as i thought that was where majority of the noise came in. But, till today it is still gathering dust at home. |
