so it's normal? my uncle advice me go for tuning  smile.gif

Tune what? You can't expect it to be a rolls royce smooth like butter after any tinkering is done right...

Whether it is design or manufacturer not doing their best to program the box to shift with minimal shift shock... there is lightly no ways to resolve the problem...

look's nobody know if it can watch movie via usb pendrive etc i guess..will be getting it on monday/tuesday..already payed full by bank cheque..
*
whether it can or not it doesn't matter because malaysia has an ultra stupid law that forbids movie to playback when the car is moving so it does not distract the driver and stuff... so, when your car moves... ultimately the screen will just blank out anyways...

if aftermarket, then lain mia pasal la...

Is this possible? Or is something wrong with the meter? Cruising at 90km/h. The avg fuel consumption goes up as high as 19.5km/l...

[attachmentid=4095986]
*
the reading is especially not accurate right after you reset it, it jumps up and down based on your throttle movements... but, it's possible if you can keep it constant without decelerating and having to accelerate it back up again (traffic jams scenario)...

you can always recalculate back the amount of petrol you used against the mileage you traveled in between pumping and resetting the trip meter... it will most probably be off by not much...

can 17" rim with offset 42 and 7.5j fit honda jazz?
tyre 205/17/40
*
GE or GK?

17" offset 42 with 7j rim already have a bit of front fender rub if you can manage to cause the front to dive so much that it hits the bump stop... i am already on about -1.5 degree of camber and it still rubs... but i am on 45 profile tires instead of 40....

7.5j might be worst most probably.... try to find 7j if possible... choices are limited, but 7j is safer than 7.5j

Hello, last thursday night my jazz hit something on hi-way plus near pedas-linggi exit, you know la that area very dark. Hit at 140, plus slower car in front two car block my sight. Sigh.

Now my front skirting (modulo) damaged already, quite bad. Whole left edge gone to pieces. Below the engine, some plastic guard also bent. How much the cost to replace this at Honda Centre, they can fix it and order the new part right?
*
original modulo part? might be dang expensive if you ask Honda SC...

taobao might be a better option...

what is taobao? where can I find comparable quality part with cheaper price. scared later all accessories shop very cheap but very poor quality.
*
Taobao is like china's lelong.com.my...

As long as u are not getting fiber ones...quality is going to be ok.... Abs/pp/pu material is what u should look for as they deforms much easily if u hit then lightly instead of cracking and breaking like fiber...

High chance those non honda kits in malaysia also sourced from china...

Else...chop shop and 2nd hand ori kits is also a choice...

Did your car make a "Cluck!" sound when you start to put your gear in D or R?. When I ask the SC, they said it is normal. Is it?. I never experience it in other car before.
yes the sound is quite noticeable especially when you shift around R -> N -> D or D -> N -> R especially if you've rolled a bit after shifting into gear... it's an engagement sound as far as i can gather and it seem to be heard on multiple units i've encountered around at parking areas...

so, i guess it's no point to be concerned about as a couple post previous prior to this was a discussion on ATF which Honda has switched to the newer DW1 ATF as opposed to Z1.... there is already comments that the DW1 shifts harder than the Z1 but the Z1 has been known to degrade faster than the DW1 and Honda only recommends an ATF change every 60k....

QUOTE(tumixis @ Aug 21 2014, 05:22 PM)
I'm about to go for my 20k-km service, i heard some need to pay up until rm400 and some just rm200++, or it depends on the SC? or is there any other SC that offer cheaper price?.
*
minimal charges according to HM maintenance table (which has been updated with the standard parts changed in itemized form) is RM319... it can be possible to go down to RM200 with discounts in place if you stick to mineral and you reject changing the pollen filter all together... some people manage to find pollen filter outside of HM service for around RM80+ and carbon type somemore.. so, they just choose to replace the pollen filter outside by themselves which Honda allows but as always stress that original part is better in this case for your air-cond system and yourself...

if you go according to their schedule and go with fully synthetic, green bottle... i believe it can almost touch RM400 and if you opt for the red bottle, it might even surpass RM400 even with discounts... (they might even ask if you want to do alignment as well since it's already 20k)
http://www.honda.com.my/service_maintenanc...ntenance/?id=43

there are certain stuff you can opt out like the pollen filter, alignment during certain service... but the major ones like oil, oil filter is stuff that you have no say in....

instead, you should worry less about 20k service as the 40k, 80k and 100k service is more a killer than the 20k service... you have the fuel filter which costs RM300++ on the 40k and 80k respectively and spark plug replacement @ 100k for RM300++ too.... fuel filter i can't say much because it's no easy thing to replace outside... you just need to let them potong you on that one.... but the spark plugs are heavily marked up items as Denso SK20 plugs costs around RM170-RM190 at best... but it's no easy feat trying to get the spark plugs out on the jazz as well because it is facing inwards towards the firewall which means very narrow spacing... have to take out quite a bit of stuff to get your hands in there....

No wonder la. Even my fren Almilo also sound better. Pssh.
Guess will upgrade mine soon enough. Will that void the warranty? I don't think so?

Anyways, just got my Blue E spec 2 weeks ago! FC has been terrible @ 12km/l but I expect that since havent even though 1k KM just yet. Do we even need to "break in" the engine? My guess is no, but I'm open to suggestions.

Really what that 17-20km/l sad.gif mostly combined highway+city driving though.

any new jazz owner here?
i'm looking for a jazz test drive for my GF , but she almost works everyday 10 to 10pm. could anyone get free to give us a test drive from KLCC to Tasik Selatan. i can pay you petrol price.
Thank you. serious Jazz buyer here.

Work 7 days a week?

Honda showrooms are opened 7 days a week you know... some even open around 9.30am. Imagine if you can't go there for a test drive, how you are you going to go register your interest in buying the car, make downpayments, sign documents later?

just sayin...

just a silly thought, can the jazz 2nd gen auto transmission be converted to cvt ?
*
wat for... the money you spend doing so would be able to pump you enough petrol for a long time...

even if it's possible... it would most likely just be an entire mess trying to rojak the CVT into the car with it's original L15A7, the new model uses L15Z1 and what looks like a different ECU number..
