I know it's going to get better... But what worrys me is what sort of abuse did the engine take before we got the car...
Did anyone else notice such a high then sudden change in FC during the first 30KM?

Cheers

I know it is not the same thing. But, they bring the each engine that goes into a Veyron or R35 into an engine room and crank it up to max revs for a certain period of time. If you believe what happened to yours is not good for the car. Imagine what happened to those?

I know it is uncomfortable to see that it clocked mileage and things of such. But, at least you know that it had things done to it. Wouldn't it be more worrying if you see 0 mileage clocked which might indicate they can reset things and hide even worst things done to the car from you?

Personally, i'd prefer the former. At least i know they are not defecating in my car. It's really no point to get worked up on why what happened, happened. Seriously. Don't lose sleep over it.

Well, how about think in this way.... someone in Honda turn on your car engine and let it idle for enjoying aircond while fixing/cleaning your car interior? The FC will be that low if the car was not moving  rolleyes.gif
*
QUOTE(nm7 @ Jun 2 2016, 10:20 PM)
They could have left it idling for very long as well. That will also result in high fuel consumption as the car is idling but not moving.

Whether it was trashed or not. You really do not know unless you get them to take the logs out via the OBDII. There would be some logs to tell you how long the motor stay in which rev range.

But in reality. You can't be too picky about it. As long as they are not taking your car to go play bumper car with other cars. And the motor is made to be able to withstand whatever we can throw at them. So, it is a take it or leave it situation as they need to do their due diligence by taking the car out for a Pre-Delivery Check as well.

It is just how you view the matter at the end of the day

Thanks for the replies, you have certainly put my mind at ease... I hadn't considered the possibility of it running while stationary, probably while tinting and doing the body kit cool2.gif
We have just moved house, this little car has done a fantastic job of carting stuff across town... Our new neighbours were stunned by the amount and size of stuff that I unloaded from her rclxms.gif

I can now continue to fully enjoy my baby again thumbup.gif

RM7.40 huh? My car is already out of the service center. Wonder if they will just sell me the wiper refills?

Pulling the caps off is a massively crazy job. It is there in the first place to protect the nuts from getting rust with rain fall. If you park outside, it doesn't really make sense as you are preventing the caps from doing it's job.

And to be fair, it is darn hard to pull the caps off after cementing it to the nut. No joke, i tried and it cannot be done by hand. And for whatever reasons it is coming off. Not really gonna be that usable after that.

what products (cement) did you use to glue the cover?

refer the bottom of the bottle.

if semi should be 5W-30, 10W30 is mineral.

Opsss .....the tax invoice show the price as follow:
Labor for 10k service FOc
Washer Drain 14mm RM1.89
OIL Filter Catridge RM27.84
5W30 Semi Synthetic RM113.54
Total (With GST) Rm143.31

So its actuallly 5W30 and not 10W30........but there are no bottle given to me for any leftover since this Wanija SC is using Bulk Container not a 4 L or 5 L Bottles as usuall....thats why i dont know the Brand of the EO......i also dont have time to ask as I drop the car and asking for semi synthetic and left the car and collected later...

Hi all Jazz owners, may I know what are the reasons you choose honda jazz instead of city? I am planning to get a new jazz/city, but still cant decide between these 2 cars.. Jazz seems to be a bit budget friendly.. Can the owners kindly share your review/opinion about Honda Jazz?? Thanks in advance..

Hatchback vs sedan (although it's more towards being a utility one). If you never had a hatchback, you'll want one. The previous version rear leg room is pretty bad. This new one is good, very good. I think it's a bit taller than city and feel roomier inside.

However I think City is slightly better in certain aspects. The door closing feels more solid. I still drove my mom old city with ultra seat and it is very solid. No creaks etc but it's not the most comfortable seat I ever had. It's just useful if you really had any use for it. The rear 5th door will allow easy access and ability to put things not possible in a sedan like flower pot or slightly oversized pet cage.

Those watery like clear based cement that bonds in like 10 seconds that sells for like RM5+ and above for a very small stick or bottle that needs the plastic tip cut off during first use. I can't remember the brand name.

Looks a bit like this or sometimes in a small plastic bottle form for other brands

Not those UHU super glue type. That doesn't keep it stuck.

Nah. The 5w doesn't really matter much to us as we don't have winter although it gives a bit of range to the viscosity over the entire temperature band.

It's usually this

or the newer packaging for the semi synthetic

Honda price being honda price. You can't say much at RM113 la.

But for a good comparison, the oil filter Japan not Thai one (still blue colored but with some japanese wording) can be had for RM25 outside before GST. Thai ones are RM20 and there are some green colored ones. It is just a little over a buck off the Honda price which i assume is after 15% discount.

Actually, i am not sure about the rear leg room on the GK5 vs GE8 as i no longer have my stock seats anymore. It feels kinda same because the front seats are damn bulky especially if you have it pushed all the way back.

I do agree however that the city doors feels more solid especially the front ones. You can notice that the Jazz rear doors are actually very well and closes with a thud sound rather than a clunk sound from the front. I deduced that down to the fact that the City has rather similar length doors front and back while the Jazz has a rather shorter rear door and a rather long front door which seems to be causing it.

For the lack of a better picture for comparison

It is more apparent when you look at the GE. The jazz even loses 70mm in wheelbase to the City, so that 70mm must have gone missing somewhere in between the front and rear wheels.

Since the last gen of Honda City released in 2009, the wheelbase for both Jazz and City are no longer the same.
I guess longer wheelbase is meant to increase grip and stability especially City is a sedan.

All honda promo is like that. You have to get the car registered during the promo period.

If after that and your car still not registered you don't get the discount.

But, you can always reject it from going forward and get your booking fee back. Jus make sure they can ensure the delivery date within period or do not go forward with signing the hire purchase loa. It is always your rights to stop it dead in its track because if you have no money to pay also they wun give you the car

I buy from them a lot of years already. From my other cars to this la of course.

Actually,  this are honda SC oils. Because everytime i buy there is no receipts except for the oil filter and the crush washer.

So,  one time out of no reason i ask the boss which quite close adi anyways. And he revealed this are actually oils by SC staff and sold to them.

So,  put your thinking caps on and think how this oils manage to get to them la. It's either they manage to sneak it from their stockhold or there is some hanky panky going on with the oils going into your car during oil change.

Speculate away.
*
This happen coz everytime there left over oil, mechanic keeps them.
If one car leftover 300ml, they will only need another 12 cars to to get a total of 4litre.

The 14th car will just use all the accumulated leftover oils, that particular bottle? Just connect back to your story above.

No la, its not leftover. Cause i usually check if the cap has been opened before. And i open the cap at the shop and try to put the bottle upside down to see if it leaks through the seals or anything (call me paranoid but i dun care).

If they can draw out or put back oil without tampering the bottle. I have nothing to say lo.
