2 days old Jazz V spec got some rattling sound on left dashboard.
I google around and seems the sound is due to the air mix servo.

Refer to the video below:

Will highlight this to Honda SC during first 1k service.
Overall it is a very nice car to drive comparing to my 7 year old myvi. The CVT gearbox is smooth and zippy to move within city. rclxm9.gif

lol.

i commented on someone having balls driving it up 160kmh while i feel unsafe as the car float at 140kmh, suddenly i'm the one having impossible expectation?

that's some fucked up comprehension there.

People always jump into conclusion pretty quickly without thinking through... haha

Btw, I do agree that stock car setup do wobble during high speed.

Of course we cannot expect like BMW/Merc because the stock setup already have wide tyres.

Weight plays a bigger factor in the feel of most contis. Doubt the wider tires play that major a role as it has to fend off the weight during lateral forces.
*
This is funny, it seems you reply is for the sake of replying.

If you are implying that wider tyres does not play a major role in vehicle stability, then explain why F1 cars which definitely has lesser weight that street cars has widest tyres.

Go search the mudah.com.  There's a V-spec 2015 with leather seat and mugen kit selling for 68k. Some are lower.

But I afraid some of those modified unit, not sure if the warranty is still valid.
*
Rather not buying 2nd hand Jazz. Most owners take it as second car or meant for city driving, for sure not selling them in such a short time. Meanwhile, those put on sold most likely owned by Ah Beng....

Is Jazz more bumpy in normal road when compare City ?

Is the bumpiness acceptable for you guys  ?
*
My sis owns the new city while I drive the Jazz.

I reckon the suspension setup is a bit stiffer for Jazz but the overall cornering performance is better. Maybe the wheels on each corners help too.

But if mine 15 jump to 16 ?
*
It is better to change to 185/55R15 tyre rather than anything else.

Because:
E/S Spec
175/65R15

V Spec
185/55R16

You see, 65% of 175mm = 113.75mm and 55% of 185mm = 101.75mm and both differ by 1cm only.

Hi all Jazz owners, may I know what are the reasons you choose honda jazz instead of city? I am planning to get a new jazz/city, but still cant decide between these 2 cars.. Jazz seems to be a bit budget friendly.. Can the owners kindly share your review/opinion about Honda Jazz?? Thanks in advance..
*
We may influence you in making the buying decision but in the end you have to know what type of car you need for.

Do you have a family? Is it your main family car? You need long distance? You need a larger luggage cabin?

You should list down the features of both cars and compare, see which one make the most sense.

jazz is basically a small mpv. It could surprise you with it's space. However the previous version Jazz is more spacious, I believe.

And yes, its quite common for people to steal the wiper arm cover but it's still stealing. Whether its a small or big sin, it's still a sin to steal things!  vmad.gif

Wanna know why the rubber got stolen? The mat rempit use them to cover their brake nuts

WTF! It costs RM20+ to buy back if you get those Honda packing ones. I just cement it to the nut after mine got stolen.
*
What if 1 day you wanna change the whole wiper arm and the cemented cap is preventing you to do so?

I know it's going to get better... But what worrys me is what sort of abuse did the engine take before we got the car...
Did anyone else notice such a high then sudden change in FC during the first 30KM?

Cheers
*
Well, how about think in this way.... someone in Honda turn on your car engine and let it idle for enjoying aircond while fixing/cleaning your car interior? The FC will be that low if the car was not moving rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(nm7 @ Jun 5 2016, 01:09 AM)
Actually, i am not sure about the rear leg room on the GK5 vs GE8 as i no longer have my stock seats anymore. It feels kinda same because the front seats are damn bulky especially if you have it pushed all the way back.

I do agree however that the city doors feels more solid especially the front ones. You can notice that the Jazz rear doors are actually very well and closes with a thud sound rather than a clunk sound from the front. I deduced that down to the fact that the City has rather similar length doors front and back while the Jazz has a rather shorter rear door and a rather long front door which seems to be causing it.

For the lack of a better picture for comparison

It is more apparent when you look at the GE. The jazz even loses 70mm in wheelbase to the City, so that 70mm must have gone missing somewhere in between the front and rear wheels.
*
Since the last gen of Honda City released in 2009, the wheelbase for both Jazz and City are no longer the same.
I guess longer wheelbase is meant to increase grip and stability especially City is a sedan.

Those are not the leftover.
The leftover is the unlucky one, perhaps the 14th car?

BMW and Mercedes usually use metering valve to measure the capacity required for each car, hardly any leftover, even if there is, no bottle to store them up.

To me, 0w20 by Honda is "cheap" oil. Proper branded 0w20 cost more than RM250 for 4litres.
Honda must be using cheap base oil to blend them, and cheap additives.

My customer uses Fosser 5w40 in his Accord 2013 and he told me, pickup/acceleration/engine quietness improve much more than using Honda 0w20.

Its not just the viscosity but also the group based oil being used, the additives package.
*
Hey buddy, we are discussing engine oil but thanks and no thank for your advertisement.

How do you sure Honda is selling "cheap" oil? At least my car warranty is covered using their engine oil.

Do not simply sell your product in this way, you can do this in Garage Sales but this thread is meant for discussing Honda Jazz.

share some sidestory :

last week i experienced VSC in action for the first time in my life. That time, the rain was quite heavy, was driving Lanchang roads leading towards highway. At a corner, i just drove like i usually do on a dry weather, noticed my tyres started to slip, then notice VSC flash few times on the dashboard, and felt the car slowed down and magically "glued" to road, even when im not pressing on brakes and lightly on accelerator pedal.

A memorable scary experience for driving, but good to know VSC is working.
*
I guess the front wheels and rear wheel speeds are out of nominal tolerance speed gap. Then VSC kicks in on time.

Anybody has done putting sound insulation layers on the roof and doors?
How is the result after putting them?
Any brand to recommend?

So far the Jazz is very nice to drive, mine is V spec and the hill start assist is really good.

1. Wanted to get a Honda Jazz since got merdeka promo..Anyone know any sales person that can give a better discount/package?

2. If anyone is using a high spec Jazz. Can please let me know if i can play music video by plug in pen drive(seem useless if got a screen that cant watch video).
*
Answer to your 2nd question:
Yes... and it will segregate the musics by folders. Addtionally, it has the iPhone integration meaning your music is stream from iphone to USB, better sound and you can see album cover, song name, artist name as well. Spotify also can support.

But I prefer not to use phone+HDMI connect to the HU.
Still prefer old way like plug in pendrive with tons of MV download from youtube, Play video while driving(saw video can bypass the e-break). Do you know any specific format type that the USB can support?
*
I had tried .avi and .mp4 before and both formats even lowest birate won't be recognized.

The USB to iphone does not need HDMI if you just want to listen to music.

Hi,

I am interested to purchase Jazz X.

I am wondering whether does Honda offer 0% Easy Payment Plan for down payment worth of RM 15000? Does the credit card terminal that accept credit card has this feature?
Thank you.
*
My advice to you: spend within your means.

Even Honda Malaysia allows you to swipe 15k for downpayment, you have to start paying car loan + installment for 15k.

This is totally not wise at all.

The good thing is Honda Malaysia only swipe max RM500 for booking only.

I am okay paying one shot 15k, but what's the point bro if I can pay installment for 6 months with 0% interest?
I can use the amount of money to reduce my interest on flexi housing loan account?

Do you get where I am coming from bro?
*
From your signature, I understand what is the source of your income.

Again imho, you are betting that your will have guaranteed better return than just paying the RM15k in 1 shot.
