Atm, I'm using streamyx but somehow the ping is around 26-30ms only. MDF/telephone room have fibre to TM exchange alre right ? Thus, I think my ping wont have any improvement. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i used 5mbps vdsl2 unifi before, ping to google.com.my was lesser than 16ms (10-12ms if im not wrong, and im connecting via wifi, wireless-n 72mbps), if fiber provide 5ms result, i dont think if will be much difference in real-life experience except if the routing decision was bad

Hi guys, need recommendation on unifi router, suspected mine gone cuckoo already.

Budget ranged from RM100-RM200, currently staying in condo. Currently running on TM stock modem and router (the black one).

If you're willing to add extra bucks to your RM200 budget, get ASUS RT-N14UHP. Very stable & reliable.
But if you're not, get TP-Link TL-WR1043ND.

Asus RT-N12-D1 is also a solid performer at around RM 120. Should be adequate for an average household.

I use TL-WDR4300 , very satisfied .. but actually too overkill coz its Dual Band.. I would suggest ASUS RT-N12HP thumbup.gif

Hi,,New User here..just finish register Unifi by online for Rumah Sewa..Excited  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

The installation will be done on this coming tuesday evening. So,I need to skip my class then.  sweat.gif

I subscribe for VIP 10 at RM179 per month minus the free sports or mega pack. Even though, I love to watch sports, but rm199 permonth seems too much for me. I will share with my brother the monthly payment. How fast is it actually the speed of VIP10?..can it stream 1080p smoothly without buffering?..I will share the unifi with my brother which is maybe he also try to stream 1080p.hahahaha.I dont do gaming and maybe slightly download torrent..Currently on Streamyx 1mbps and I don't have any idea how fast the unifi is.Hope its way better than streamyx.

yes, all the MDF connects to exchange via fibre. In fact, TM uses MSAN in the MDF where on the same equipment, they can provide VDSL (UniFi), ADSL (Streamyx) & other services such as phone to customers.

Regarding the ping, it depends, as VDSL & ADSL are 2 different technologies though...

Weird thing is...i got 2 VDSL modem - ZTE and Huawei. ZTE is in use, while Huawei is still in the box.

Normal or TM contractor forgot to take the Huawei unit? lol
