Do you know Taming Sari XK-98? The guided projectile developed by STRIDE?
![]() ![]() It seem's very familiar to me when i first saw it. but i can't remember where i seen it before. Then by chance i found it. It's very similar to Russian Krasnopol. What's the deal? Technology transfer? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krasnopol_%28Weapon%29 ![]() |

Chief of Army of the Malaysian Armed Forces Makes Introductory Visit to Singapore
22 October 2013 Tuesday | 1630 hours GEN Raja Affandi driving a Terrex Infantry Carrier Vehicle during his visit to Headquarters 3rd Singapore Division this morning. ![]() The Chief of Army of the Malaysian Armed Forces, General (GEN) Datuk Raja Mohamed Affandi bin Raja Mohamed Noor, called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen at the Ministry of Defence this afternoon. As part of his introductory visit to Singapore from 21 to 22 October 2013, GEN Raja Affandi also called on Chief of Army Major-General Ravinder Singh after inspecting a Guard of Honour. Both sides reaffirmed the warm and professional cooperation between the two armies. Earlier today, GEN Raja Affandi also visited Headquarters 3rd Singapore Division where he drove a Terrex Infantry Carrier Vehicle. GEN Raja Affandi's visit underscores the warm and long-standing defence relationship between Singapore and Malaysia. The armies of both countries interact regularly in a range of activities, including professional exchanges, the annual bilateral Exercise Semangat Bersatu, and multilateral activities under the ambit of the Five Power Defence Arrangements and ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting Plus framework. These interactions have enhanced mutual understanding and friendship between the two armies. http://www.mindef.gov.sg/imindef/press_roo...LKC5bPc.twitter |

QUOTE(kerolzarmyfanboy @ Oct 22 2013, 07:25 PM) I think, yellow current capability red with new SU-35 thinner red line possible with external fuel tank or air refueling now i can see why Malaysia move their air base toward north and sub base at sabah. Now let see if malaysia will get new longer range SAM System to counter a rising threat from china |

QUOTE(ayanami_tard @ Oct 22 2013, 07:48 PM) what he saidQUOTE He also stated thal the RMN was looking to replace its fast attack craft (FAC) fleet with new ships. Although the government has not yet approved just about 700~1200tonsfunding for this, the RMN has proposed either a modified version of the localty built Gagah Samudera-class training shipdesign or a new 50-75 m design to be sourced from a foreign manufacturer. The replacement ship would not be an FAC type, but rather one capable of long-distance endurance and patrolling of Malaysia's waters, with firepower equal or greater to the FACs it would replace. The image below demonstrates the comparative ranges (two way) of Su-27s (thick yellow lines), Su-35s flying on internal fuel (thick red lines) and Su-35s with two drop tanks (thin red lines) flying from two major air bases in China. Note: All distances are estimated combat radii.

QUOTE MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - The Philippines may seek additional compensation from Malaysia for Sabah, a Malaysian-controlled territory. President Benigno Aquino III said today that this was one of the "avenues" being studied in relation to the Sabah claim by the Philippine government. At least four options had been submitted by the Department of Justice, but no final decision had been made, Aquino said. Justice Secretary Leila de Lima was exploring on four potential avenues and one of them was higher compensation, he said. "Unfortunately, all three of them (potential avenues) are non- starters," Aquino said without elaborating. The President in March ordered the review of the territorial claim to Sabah after armed followers of self-proclaimed Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III went to Lahud Datu in Sabah in February that resulted in a deadly clash with Malaysian police and army. Kiram died Sunday of multiple organ failure. He reportedly asked his family to reclaim Sabah before he passed away. owhhhhh Manila........ |
