I know. That's why I quoted something usd 100m cheaper than ours. Ours sgpv almost same price with frigate selected by Thais.

"They" said, 57mm perform better than 76mm as anti-air gun. I think that's why we choose DS30M as 3rd layer air defence. Any Gatling gun CIWS pair with a 57mm look like a redundant to me.

If we want to use Bofors 57 mm 3P ammunitions, than it will be redundant. It got same max effective range with gun based CIWS (+-4 km).

No essm. I told ya. So identical to Oman khareef-class corvette armament. No, their main gun better. Price? Cheaper than our kedah class.

Technically, MICA-VL cheaper to opt than ESSM. MICA don't need launcher because their storage canister already worked as launcher. What make ESSM more expensive, they need extra hardware; 2 illumination radar and launcher.

MICA = fire and forget, ESSM = guidance; guidance need many hardware controller.
Conclusion: why MICA (not per whole system) more expensive; the canister make them expensive. Also caused by low rate production and it is a European stuff!

I'm not a mica fan, but i must clarified the mystery.

No la. Aster 15/30 must use guidance system, by air (defense) radar. Not same like ESSM must use illumination radar.

zzzz they never market it as CIWS.

It not songlapped yet if we pay the right price for the right hardware. Just wait for the official. Yinchet just had a knee jerk.

Zzzz I see the ship as a system. Not hardware. Every single stuff is a hardware. If we pay a gun at the right price, why get mad. It's not official yet. When it become official and I'm not happy with the final specs, we rage together.
