Thank you so much! However, I don't even know their names & values for the purchase...shame!

Slowly search and learn....no worries

You can search around for well known good cap brand, but mostly is WIMA and Vishay one. The value reading you refer to here, it works like resistor colour code.

Yes, you're right! It needs to take some times to search and learn for a newbie like me, to look before leap. Thank you!

Yes, Mainland China is famous for her fake and imitation goods. Though I did pick the shop who has asked for relatively higher prices, and also comparatively those models in higher prices too, I do still have no idea of whether they are genuine or fake!

Perhaps you may take a look on them, I couldn't justify their genuineness!

Besides, is the bigger red one really 0.1uF 50V and could be used to replace the stock one? And, is this bigger red one better than the other smaller one?

The last big red one looks like an inductor 0.1H , not a capacitor...

It's perhaps a kind of MKS PS(Polystyrene capacitor?)..., it claims that the capacitor was 0.1uF 50V? By the way, did I make a wrong purchase?

0.1H is indicating inductance, it should be an inductor there, H is henry, uf is microfarad which is unit for capacitance.

So, I'd made a wrong purchase? The original 0.1uf 50v couldn't be replaced with this one?

The 1st round of replacement of capacitors:
10000uF 25V
No problem

The 2nd round
2200uF 16V x2
No problem

The 3rd round
220uf 16v x1
No problem

The 4th round
100uf 16v x3
47uf 16v x1
10uf 16v x1
No problem

The 5th round
4.7uf 25v x4
2.2uf 50v x13
1uF 50v x3
0.47uf 50v x5
Big problem: very LOUD & LONG noisy "Dee" sound coming out from the subwoofer! I turned it off immediately(at power socket since the speaker's power LED doesn't even light on?), tried it again several times, same! I'd also checked with my eyes the soldering points, they seem(not sure) okay.

What will probably be the problems? Thanks in advance!

Clean your solder flux....i experienced that problem before when i mod my Edifier speaker and that took me a day to found it out. Because normally we use the solder flux will conduct some electricity unless you're using 'no clean' flux, that would be different story.

.......... i tink its a short circuit/reverse cap polarity
1# might be accident you short circuit while its still powered on
(goodbye acs45.1)
2# turned the set on without realising cap in reverse polarity

3# defective new caps

here's the best what you can do...
#check the fuse.
#revert the the caps back to original in reverse steps
#most probably its those imitation ELNA without sword symbol on top killed your set
user posted image
original always have 'sword' symbol on top
ALSO i noticed YOUR elnas with the sword symbol are in middle/upside down position
please observe and compare the original pic
#pray nothnig is fried in process!
good luck and nice work! don't give up! we support you! =)

Does anybody know the codes printed on the PCB of the below capacitors for ACS 45.1? I wanted to reconfirm whether they were being soldered on the correct locations? Thanks in advance!

4.7uF >>> C16, C24, C33, C34
1uF >>> C37, C43, C51
0.47uF >>> C25, C27, C35, C40, C50

sorry tim, i packed up my sets back inside... i think the capacitor location is correct since you exchanged it 1 to 1 of same value..

the hard 'lazy' part is to troubleshoot it going backwards. its very demotivating but, the best way to revert to old caps =(

Anyone actually own an Octane 7 (VS4621) here? Was planning to buy it but heard mid range gets a little muffled. Being an audio noob what does mid range mean?

vs4621 is a direct low down cut cost version of atp3 so of course it sounds strange!
user posted image
it doesn't have tweeters like atp3! you are better off with atp3 for the price

guys i have same question as sigheart. anyone using a vs4612 here? how is it? (i m not so good with speakers)

can recommend me a good 2.1 speaker? my freind say get a vs4212 but i see the design is the same as vs4612 so i think its an upgraded version of vs4612 (not sure tho). is there any better speakers than the vs4612? i m open to any other brands too.
