Why? the reason is so simple, VS4121 claim it frequency response of 25Hz-15Khz is totally bull shit, as it can't even touch 40hz and below...thats why no effect at all...

Why do you care about this? Have you tested pure 30Hz tone? Maybe the music you tried doesn't even reach that low

Here is 30Hz tone if you want to hear how it sounds
Attached File  30hztone.wav ( 23.49k ) Number of downloads: 10

to be honest, the minimum bass frequency response of MX5021 is about 30hz which is too weak that you nearly can't hear it...but the bass sound will start to shine after 35hz....

the 31hz of EQ not means that it will only boost/cut 31hz, it will raise/cut the adjacent frequency band as well depends on Q-constant of the EQ...

as example, the raise of 31hz of Creative EQ will raise from 15hz to 50hz...but one thing i confirm to you is you will hear the different on MX5021 if you tweak the 31hz band...

hehe.. ok then...
Btw , im curious ...
I got a WMA song which is 64kbps if I convert it into 256kbps ...will the sound improve ?
I found no, becasue the bass of the song make the bass "pecah" while all other song no. shakehead.gif

It won't improve the quality, simply because it can't put back the data that has been lost from previous encoding. Never ever increase the bitrate of a song, it can go down, but not up

Absolutely NO...when you rip the 64kbps WMA, a lot of data already loss and you will not get back the data in whatever mathod...up convert to higher bit rate will only add some 'blank' data that make the file size bigger and not raise the quality at all..

NO, I told you already, you can go down but not up. Convert from lossy to lossless is a big no no, it just makes the files bigger without any quality difference

I like to elaborate. Lossless to lossless is OK, but it makes no difference, but if your player doesn't support certain file format then you can do it. Lossy to another lossy is no no

Well, that is the main purpose of buying original CD, absolute best quality. But you can download the WAV or FLAC files online too....... whistling.gif
