anyway, i found it from a reviews website which claims the new version isnt THX certified.
i have no idea since never comparing new and original version side by side...

personally, the bass is blurry and the treble is crispy (note : satelite caps is diff for both version)

walaueh ..all mx5021 issue here...bought my years ago...freakin heavy ..dunno my belong to the old version or the new version...sounds great nonetheless..now..followin domo_kun advise...findin better cable for it.. ...even my old atp3 is still workin great..

So far i didn't found any review claim that the 'new' MX5021 isn't THX certified, i typed 'old MX5021','new version MX5021','cut cost MX5021','old MX5021 vs new MX5021','MX5021 no THX certified' in the google search, u know what's the outcome? Our Lowyat thread almost appear first in the search results, so i can't find any evidence to claim the new MX5021 isn't THX certified...

Added on April 24, 2008, 5:58 pmno need to freak, as long as u feel satisfied with it... refer the pic above, if your satellite same as the one which has 'one little circular'(call dust cap) on the center of driver, then yours MX is old version, otherwise, 'cut cost' as ours...

lolz....mine dont hav the circle thingy on the satellite..so new version?? ...but i also listen to the old version b4 as my fren has one...sound pretty the same..onli the bass is not as wide spreaded as his...dunno how to explain in audio theory...sori for my noobness..

how to say..now onli i notice that mine doesnt hav the circle thingy as i remember back in 2006 or 2005 my fren has the circle thingy.. ..well sound pretty much the same except for the bass effect onli...i dunno how heavy is the subwoofer is as i didnt bother to noe about its weight...the thing i notice is the bass is not as wide spreaded as his..can anyone explain on this...im no expert in audio stuff..sori...i bought mine later ...near end of 2006..as i impressed by the sound produce by it..as my atp3..is reachin its limit...

how to compare...my fren change speaker liao..upgrade to aego liao..i think he ditch his old mx5021 liao...so long dy.. ...me poor maintain at mx5021 onli..

read for urself....basically..i think aego sounds better for music is does perform better than mx5021 in music...in bass term..i cant really notice the significant difference....but on the size n price wise..is quite a big difference...

so..u should noe the difference..different need for other people..i cant speak on behalf of them...i like mx5021..personally..more than aego m..well that is jus my personal liking..others might not agree.. ..i bought mine mx5021 below rm400..

Today I get my FX5051, I have problem on the speaker. When I listening to songs, I found there have two speakers no function. One is center speakers and another one is rear right speakers. I am using laptop and there have two ways to connect the speaker, one way is just using USB, another way is just using audio jack. Both method still the same problem, the two speakers no sound but the rest is working.

I was tried to plug the unworking speaker to another front left or front right jack, it is working and have sound. But when i plug back to the correct jack position, it is no working.

Oh, I forgot to report in here, actually I have VS4121 which used for 1 year and now I have another FX5051.
