Not sure if it is supposed to look the way it is but the picture looks distorted at the sides with the video taking a shape of a "U".

I'm having dilemma now. Currently using A129 and planning to add the new hard wire kit.....But.....The installation seems painful for my current VW B8.

Should I try DIY or send to any shops in Klang Valley to do it?

I just need to replace the cable from 2 wire to 3 wire kit.

Any suggestion from you guys here?

Its due to the fish eye\wide lens, in order to have a more "complete" view of the scene out the windshield.

I have the B1W at the rear (thanks to blurjoey, else I would not know of its existence).
I have downloaded a firmware that keeps the WiFi switched off by default.
With B1W WiFi on, my phone cannot use mobile data.

Anything with more than 140 degrees angle will have the fish eye effect...

Sicurez in Sunway as they are dedicated Viofo and Thinkware dashcam installer. But not sure how much they charge.

Another is EA Auto and Shorty5.

Some accessories shop might says they don't know how to install hardwire kits.

Does it have memory card inside? If have memory card inside, try remove the memory card and power on without the memory card. Memory card slow or faulty also will caused like this.

Else it would be the lcd screen ribbon issue.

Not the memory card. Happened with and without it. Should be hardware issue. Out of the box for nearly less than an hour.
