I just bought my G1WH from Gearbest.
Bought it for Commodity price : 35.87 + Insurance: 1.72 = USD 37.59 back in July 17th.
Arrive yesterday, so it takes a month for its free shipping.
Any recommended settings for it to auto record as soon as you starts your engine? I am currently using these
Resolution: 1080 FHD Loop: 3 minutes WDR on Exposure 0 Motion Detect Off Audio on G sensor off Date stamp on Auto power off 3 mins Beep sound off Language English TV mode NTSC Frequency 60hz Screen protection 3 minutes IR Led off

Speaking of A118c, I not sure to buy from GB or AliExpress for A118c. I believe this is the Generic version. AliExpress link - Link USD 34.371 + 2.63 shipping = USD 37 GearBest Link - Link USD 37.99 shipping included.

I'm having dilemma now. Currently using A129 and planning to add the new hard wire kit.....But.....The installation seems painful for my current VW B8.
Should I try DIY or send to any shops in Klang Valley to do it?
I just need to replace the cable from 2 wire to 3 wire kit.
Any suggestion from you guys here?

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Feb 7 2019, 12:56 PM) Sicurez in Sunway as they are dedicated Viofo and Thinkware dashcam installer. But not sure how much they charge. Another is EA Auto and Shorty5. Some accessories shop might says they don't know how to install hardwire kits. Noted. I'll look up.

I just notice my a129 stopped recording and hang. Didn't realize until my son accidentally press the button and the A129 didn't beep.
I'm currently using viofo hardwire kit for parking mode. Stock firmware too. Upon recycle the power, I check the recording and it was dated back 25 days ago. That's....scary
Anyone come across such issue ?

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Mar 31 2019, 01:55 PM) Hm... That's weird. Maybe check got the latest firmware or not? Then try and monitor and see? Using firmware 1.5 and reset all settings to default. Currently using it since March 28 reset and continue monitoring. This post has been edited by Keatsan: Mar 31 2019, 07:36 PM

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Apr 9 2019, 11:26 AM) Samsung Evo Plus is value for money for dashcams but void warranty by the manufacturer. 64GB and 128GB have faster speeds. Note that Evo + is an older version. Heard Sandisk Ultra A1 is the improved version of the Sandisk Ultra and won't die when used in dashcams. Also, void warranty when used in dashcams. Another is those High Endurance cards which are designed for use in dashcams but know that they have slower speeds. If your dashcam is sensitive to this then best to get the above. Samsung Pro Endurance and Kingston Endurance are the cards with faster speeds but hard to get in Malaysia. Sandisk High Endurance have slow speeds. Seeing the price of A1 200gb quite affordable, I'm tempted to give it a try. But still slight concern on Sandisk reliability even though it's different series. And yes, I guess we can start V2 thread. This post has been edited by Keatsan: Apr 9 2019, 11:54 AM
